2004 Laredo over heating
Over the weekend my radiator blew up. I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0l L6. I replaced the radiator, hoses, thermostat. I filled with coolant Ran the heater, squeezed the hoses. Thought the air was out. It runs ok while moving. Got home left it run, gauge went right to 3/4 hot. Oh fan is working. Is their a bleeder valve?? Any ideas? I am by no way a mechanic!! I'm on a fixed income, so have to try anything first. If there is anyone that can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

...There is a bleeder in the thermostat. Are you sure you installed thermostat in correct direction, and did you install it with bleeder at 12:00 position.
and, you're more likely to get more and better responses with one post rather than asking the same question three times

Old fart with a wrench
This just happened to a friend on the forum. He was in a hurry and installed the thermo backwards, with the copper slug towards the radiator. My Stant Superstat for my 4.0 doesn't have a vent hole. Any that I've put in never had one either. With a thermo that's not opening, the only flow you get is thru the heater core.
The easiest way to get the air out of a 4.0 is to take out the temp sensor, fill until coolant flows out of the hole, reinstall, and finish filling.

Eh, never had a problem with any engine that didn't have one. That's in 55 years of working on vehicles.

Yes I installed it correctly. When ever I do something, I'm not sure about I you tube it and come here. I try to go back into the threads for answers.
As for multiple post, I am sorry really not use to posting things. Or I see I'm in the wrong group.
Kymasabe it is in one of the threads here, to drill a hole.
As for my Problem: I stated the fan was working/ it is not! So I have come to the conclusion replace the fan. I've replaced the relays in the fuse box under the hood. Took the plug off the heat sensor.
I've heard the only some 2004 Laredo's have a relay under the head light. That will be the last thing I look at. I hate failure, but into the shop it will go.
Thank you for your time and help, again sorry about the posts
