Just replaced my transfer case chain. Model 242 J. Toughest part of the job was maneuvering the complete case in and out the vehicle without a lift, propped up on blocks. The unit must weigh 80 or 90 pounds.
Once on the bench tearing it down, and the unit itself was not that complex. See Exploded View.
