transfer case

i just put in a new transfer case in my 89 xj. it is a 231. i noticed and have read that the 231 does not have 4wd part time. will this effect anything in my jeep seeing as i have 4wd part time on my indicator but not my tranfer case.

231 has part time only. 242 has full time. Here is the 231 shift pattern:

I had a 89 xj with a 242 and swapped in a 231. U will need too Change the shipping basil and swap over the sides to post it up to the trans-I also use a Novak shifter linkage
