The CD changer in my wifes limited is not working. It won't push the CD over into the player. I bought a used one and it is doing the same thing. The guy said it worked perfect in his jeep and he just pulled it out. Anyone have any suggestions what it could be? Thanks in advance.

Good morning-

I know the feeling my doesn't work as well in my 02.

Although to me its not that important where my ex wife would have had a fit over it.

Good luck hope you get it repaired.

Thanks Peter,

Seems to be a problem alot of jeeps have. I will probably just put a cd player in the dash and call it good. A lot less hassle.

Why replace a faulty, obsolete part with another?

Time to enter the digital age, boys. Upgrade to something that streams via bluetooth or plays mp3s!

Why limit yourself to only 5 discs when you can have your entire collection on something the size of a thumbtack?

I just finished an install on my 98 Grand Cherokee.

I have GPS, picture in picture (can control gps and stereo at the same time), reverse camera, bluetooth, ipod connectivity, aux in, DVD slot (CDs obviously work too), and usb drive readable up to 32gb.

The USB drive is key for me because that will play better sound quality than bluetooth. With an MP3 bitrate of 192 (very good quality), you can fit 22,222 songs or 370 hours worth of audio. Plus it'll play DVDs when the car isn't in motion (can be hacked to remove the safety feature). But even if you don't want to involve yourself in all that, connectivity to your smartphone is sweet. Answering a phone call on the road without having to pick up your phone is nice. I know many states will give you a citation for talking while driving. There's your hands free device right there.

It takes some getting used to, but it was only $300 and well worth it in my opinion. How many defective, oem CD changers can that buy?

Sweet!! How true. Awesome set up. Congrats!

Yo Stein, I could actually use that extra storage in the rear panel...

Any tips ? Or what just take it out cut the wires and tape them up?

Thank you.
