2 1995 grand cherokee with 5.2 projects
I am looking at 2 grand Cherokee Laredo editions. One was running and has transmission problems the other wasn't the bodies look to be in good shape the interior looks better than some newer vehicles I have seen. The one that ran doesn't have the keys and the other one they believe the keys are locked in it. The titles show one with 198k miles and the other one with 225k miles. They don't know the history the original purchaser died and was going to fix both of them up. He didn't even get the titles into his name. The current owner wants 500 a piece for them. Looking to buy fix and flip and do a YouTube video working them. Was wondering are they worth it? IS a person going to have to dump more than they are worth into them. Any modifications that might increase their value or sell-ability? With them being locked and missing key's its hard to know. I heard the 4.0 was a bullet proof motor, would a conversion be feasible? Just trying to get as much info as possible to make a decision. Considering they are almost 30 years old now. I see different things like the transmissions are their weak link, which is typical dodge. Thanks
They found the key to the run that runs and sent a video of it running. It sounds pretty good, didn't hear any loud noises. What else should a person look at since it does have a failing transmission, or should a person walk away because not much demand for them??

Welcome to the forum.
This topic shows my 46RH transmission rebuild.
The HUGE advantage on these ZJ vehicles is the ability for the owner to turn the wrenches, not possible on new vehicles.
