1998 Cherokee Limited HVAC stuck on HOT
A co worker has a 98 and the HVAC distribution unit is toast, it only blows hot air as a result. We have both looked everywhere we can think of and have been unable to find the replacement part.
It's this part, but for a 98.

Any assistance would be gladly received!
Thanks Jeepers!

Welcome to CF!
That's going to be a junkyard part. You might be farther ahead converting it to the manual control unit anyhow rather than the dual zone control. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to find. After all, this is a 20 year old jeep we're talking about.

Thanks! Any ideas on how to do the conversion?

Welcome to the forum.
The '98 ZJ has either manual or automatic (ATC) temperature control, not dual zone.
Both regulate the temperature blend air door DC motor to change the door position and to control the temperature.
The ATC may be interrogated to identify fault codes.
The FSM has a detailed diagnostic section to discover the problem(s).
Ownership of the correct FSM is required to properly maintain this vehicle.

Well excuse my waa! The point I was making is if the unit is shot, make it simple and not expensive. As far as I know the body control module doesn't get involved with the heater if it's manual. Well...it might for A/C. The only difference would be the control in the dash and the blower resistor, I would think.
