Finished the sub. Not much of a change. Don’t know if I really like the speaker grille to much. But this grille is the only one that fits the kicker sub without rubbing . At least it’s protected a little bit. The tan paint is too light. I haven’t found the right color yet. I tried 5 different stores to find a darker tan. But no luck. Does anyone have an idea where I can get the right interior color tan in a spray can

Looks good! I've had a subthump enclosure for going on 6 years now and my 10" boss sub still works great in it. Maybe try an auto parts store, that's where I found the closest spray paint for my half doors to my body color.

Good looking build. My '87 2 door used to be a forest service ride here in AZ. It was the typical pastel green though. It was a friend of mine's (?)uncle-in-law's(?) service Jeep. He bought it when it was being retired. Painted it blue, we lifted it, he painted it tan, lifted it more, then I traded him my Rhino for it..

I think maybe your problem is trying to match it. In my '00 XJ I have the 2 tone Camel/Agate interior. Running black mats like you and black seat covers. With the Camel plastic on the side of the seats where the power seat switch is.
My point being I think it looks really good. Maybe just paint the panel for the sub black.

I think I found the color that was close from Home Depot. That would have been a good idea to paint the sub cover black. Would have used that idea if i didn’t find this color. Got the roof console repainted and installed. Just one screw and bracket I bolted to the roof cross brace. At that point you slide it back 4 inches and it’s in. I Was really nervous obout cutting the headliner to put it in. It Cut straight using s new razor knife. The map lights all work but run kinda weird. The back console lights work off the door pin and tailgate and the front map lights work by pressing the light.

I decided I don’t like manual door locks so I’m getting door lock actuators. Then a keyless entry security system with auto start and motion sensor Friday, Cherokees have been really hot to steel in the Gresham /Troutdale area. I think 6 have been stolen in 1 month. Last Jeep I had out over night got. Pic of my last jeep

ransacked. They Got my piaas, high lift jack, shovel, axe. If they had 5 more minutes, they would have had my roof rack. But they got scared off. Now it’s times to make it steal proof. Going to weld down the rack, weld front and rear bumper bolt with a small tack. Going to tack the bolts on each off road light and the winch itself.

I am betting it feels better that you think you found a color that matches. OCD can be a ***** huh?
I know what you mean about cutting into the headliner. My '00 did not come with a overhead console.
I found one to install. I grabbed the headliner too cause I could. My commitment issues would not let me
cut my dome light headliner. So I had the overhead one redone and put everything aside from the dome setup.
Just in case the paint does not match and you would like a visual. Please beware that the tan in my '00 is Camel.

Having OCD, owning a 4x4 and using it can kinda suck sometimes. Not to good of a mix unless you have a Cherokee that’s a pavement princess. By the way i dig the camel and black offset. Looks good.

Thanks for the compliment. I think one of the reasons it works so well is the fact that from the factory
the interior is two tone. Agate/Camel.

OCD is not a good mix with a pavement princess either. Which is all mine is. IMO it is worse.
Older now and those days of thrashing around out there are long over. Now I care how it runs.
And looks.
Way back when I used to thrash around out there my OCD pretty much stopped at reliability.
Just needed to be able to take a licking and keep on ticking.
You did not want it to look like a total POS but it not looking just so did not put my OCD into overdrive.
Now God forbid I break a tab off a plastic electrical connector that you can't even see behind a door panel
or something. Bugs me for days.

Paint the overhead console, speaker pod and sub cover a closer color. Looks like I need to redo the headliner. For some reason I didn’t look above my head before I bought it. When I got the Jeep home and looked the next day. The headliner damage was there.

Welded the rack and all the connecting brackets to the drip rail today, so it wouldn’t get ripped off. I took my time and only welded an inch at a time and let it cool 20 minutes before I did the next section. The glass never got hot. After an hour I closed the door and the passenger quarter glass shattered. Looks like I’m going to install the factory style tinted quarter glass tomorrow.

Got the new quarter panel glass with wing windows installed today. I decided I did want to deal with it. I paid a glass installer $100 and he put them in. I’m glad I did try it. The rubber around the glass was really stiff and old. It took him 4 hours because he didn’t want to damage it. he used a couple tricks I wasn’t aware of and sealed it with urethane. He said because of how old the rubber was it would leak without the sealant. I couldn’t forget to order my Yeti sticker. The next thing I want to do is tint the windows. My friend says to match the mirror tint. I think I want to tint the door and hatch glass 20% black tint. Not sure. Need to see some Cherokees like it first. If anyone has pics of black tint or mirror tint with the mirror style quarter panel glass. Please post some.

Right next to your Yeti sticker you should put one of these:

I hear a lot of bad stories about Yeti coolers. They are way to overpriced, I wouldn’t waste my money. I have a yeti coffee mug that works really good. Keep everything a lot hotter, longer then any other mug I bought. But the $35 price tag was hard to swollen. Just in case anyone thinks. Naming my Cherokee Yeti has nothing to go with Yeti coolers

My rear windows came factory tinted from what I know, it's a maroon mirror, no way of seeing in unless you put your eye on the window.
