Default Sienna Pearl 01 XJ

I bought my XJ about a year ago. Shortly after I discovered it was a victim of the 0331 head issues. I've been easier on it since then while building a new heart for it.

Edit: progess/mods to date
- Complete engine rebuild
- Herculined headliner board
- Viper Coil mod
- ZJ tie rod upgrade
- RC 3" lift

It's one of the cleanest and unmolested XJs I've seen In my area. On top of the engine needing replaced, the suspension and headliner were sagging pretty badly. I pulled the headliner board and have it cleaned off ready for the bedliner treatment. Suspension will have to wait until engine is done.

Scored a complete 4.0 from a 96 XJ and started tearing it down for the rebuild.

I've cleaned up and painted some parts along the way. I've got everything I need to take it to the machine shop and should be heading there at the end of the month.

Machine shop estimate was right around $600 for the following:
Clean cylinder head
Grind valves
Replace valve seals
Resurface head
Clean block
Bore and hone to .030 over
Attach rods to pistons
Replace cam bearings
Install freeze plugs
Deck block (if needed)
Grind crank

Estimate sounded good to me. Actual amount was slightly less than $600 before tax and could end up being less if valves are fine and block doesn't need decked.

Dropping everything off at the machine shop in a couple of hours. Should be ready for pickup at the end of the month.

Nice and clean. Mine's the same color, but it clearly wasn't garaged or waxed, probably ever. Keep the updates coming.

Dude, you're going to have a nice, clean XJ with a fully rebuilt, clean engine. Very cool. What are your plans for future mods?
