The body work is the first one I've done. I realized I'd starve to death if I did it for a living. It's still pretty rough on the tailgate, but I don't care, it's a trail rig and if it looked like a million bucks, I wouldn't want to take it offroad.

He's in Auburn. I would guess it's about 4 hours from Springfield, maybe a little more.

Yeah in fact it's pretty easy fitment. I think he made mine 62" long, but I can check. A lot depends on whether you want to trim your fenders back in the front.

it dont matter i brought my jeep to a fab shop to have something installed and he was such a pansy cause i had no plans he had no creativity and mine are just rotting away so i need functional...and the endangered species guy is ridiculous he wants about 5-6 hours per side and $85 an hour just to weld in 2x4 box metal not even make it look like yours...
Wow those rockers are sick! I wish I had the skills for something like that! I would be interested in talkin to your buddy but A) Im in Canada and B) I deffinitly dont have the skills to mount them up..but props to him

Nah, I shoudld have but I figured with a rubber gasket, just tightening them til it felt good was good enough. I started in the middle and work my way to the back/front. No leaks so far. I didn't crank on them, just a little beyond snug.

4/26/2009: I got a little more done on my system. I found out that my cousin has a couple of sheet metal brakes, so I went to visit him today.
I showed him my sketch and we both agreed the way the brake is set up it would be hard to bend some of the bends that were close together. We got it pretty close so I took it home and used a big hammer & the vise to get it closer. Then I took the grinder to it, sanded, primed and painted it.
After it was dry I layed out the bolt pattern for the tank & mounting holes.
I'm pretty happy with the results.

You can see I added the manifold to the bottom of the tray with a quick coupling for hoses, etc. I've got to do some more with the manifold, but I'm waiting for parts.
Unfortunately, I had a setback. I noticed antifreeze on the garage floor this morning, and when I cleaned the engine bay I noticed a lot of steam for a long time, so I investigated and the plastic tanks on both sides of the radiator are leaking.
I started taking it apart and realized I needed a special tool to disconnect the condenser & ATM lines so I ordered that from Sears.
I think I’m going to buy a Silla All aluminum replacement. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Thanks. I have since changed the OBA a little. It works well. I ran I line to the front bumper too. I want to get different hoses though. I want to use the type that carpenters use for their air nailers, etc.

Wow, thanks my friend. I had a great time wheeling it today. I'll try to get some video posted up. We started at 9:00am and I got home at 10:00pm. What a blast!
I think we had 17 rigs. I went through a rock garden that was awesome. Didn't have to winch at all, just crawled through it. Tested the sliders pretty well. Absolutely love them. They said I had one rear tire about 3 feet in the air.
