Default XJ version 4.5 Teal edition

First pic of the jeep picked up dirt cheap in bloomington IN and drove it a hour home needs shocks bad 220000 miles and 30000 on the tranny.

some stock photos.

Inside shot

Doing some testing

Got a rough country 4.5 lift,
Build starts here.

Front susp tear down.

Some of the snags that put the Assembly on hold.

Surface rust around the shock tower going to sand blast the inside fender and use some rustolem bedliner spray.

Going to have to replace the brake line

Bent the lower control arm holder a bit. Trying to bend it back or does it mater.spent a while on this hammering then torched it out.

cant see it very while need to make a patch panel theres a hole in the floor right where the passager puts there feet.

cut the sway arm links off due to snapping the bolt going to drill it out and put a bolt in

Took the fender flare off broke every bolt on it.

and that's it so far.

With some work ahead of us we pushed on.

some mcds and hours later.................... its to dark wait for morning

Now we did all that with out rear shocks so the big deal was the stud broke off on the shock tower. well there was a weldes nut that we air hammerd threw.then kept going to put a hole in the floor this took like 10 mins and we where done.
so we cruzed out in the jeep with shocks to do some urban off roading.

We were pretty proud of are lifted jeep but it looked homosexual with the stock rims and tire. So i spent the next two days of my life on clist with a 200 dollar budget to get some 33s final seen some in mitchel for 300 i called him and told him i would buy them after i get off work and venture down there.many hours later and some monster. i payed 200 and my stock rims for these.

And that where she sits now

Default part motor swap time

well due to having no snorkel i got water in the intake so part two motor swap time.

so is it easier to take the motor tranny and tcase out at the same time or will the motor itself be easier?
