Not really, my son has been stripping what he needs for his jeep. The doors are nicer for his XJ. I have been way to busy working and have not had the time or energy to start getting serious with it.
We did how ever manage to take a trip down to Ouray Co. for a three day week end. I came back with a small list of things I need to address on my rig before we hit the trails again.
Thanks for the interest, I am now more excited than ever about getting this camper ready for action. I hope to work on it none stop through the winter and have it ready for next summer. If I do I will be making another trek down to Ouray.

I thought I would post it and maybe spark an idea or an update.

89limited_hero Thanks for posting that, I can use all the motivation I can get. After our trip to Ouray last weekend I really want to make sure the camper will be usable for next season, but for the rest of the summer I want to do some wheeling.

Finally getting back to this!
With my summer season (work) coming to an end, I am finally getting the chance to get started on my camper. I have the interior gutted and am getting the quarter panel work done before I start cutting it to length and tub the inside. I have decided to build the frame and then mount the body on it with bushings between the frame and the body. Hope it works out the way I have things working out in my mind??

I am planning on using the tongue for several things, I hope to use it for Propane, Generator, Battery and Spare Tire. I have a set of nice roof rails (Yokahoma) it has canoe mounts and will come in handy for other things. I hope to get a lot done through the winter months and have it ready to us this next season. kind of got side tracked because summer wheeling took up most of my spare time amongst other priorities.

Little progress
I worked a couple hours on the trailer today. Welding the quarter panel in place, I still need to weld the inner fender well together, I hope to make more progress tomorrow

Up-date Pics.
So I'm starting make a little headway. I have got the quarter panels roughed in. and the whole rear suspension gone. Saving the budget lift to put on my son's '95 some day. Here is how I have things so far.
The plan is to get the floor tubed in and then chop the front end of the cab to shorten it to the length I want it to be. I hope to have some more up-dates soon.

Little progress
So I planned on working on this most of the day. But Plans got foiled. I did manage to get something done. I am welding this up so I can put the jack stands under the front rail while I cut the front end off. I am using some spacer from the front disc brakes to keep the rail from collapsing from the bolts being tightened.

Up-date
Well it is really starting to take shape. every thing is now gut-ed. Next I need to take about a foot out of the cab. Then I'll run floor rails from the front to the back to start tying things in.
