Thanks man. It's far from done. The hoop is going to be tied into the new wheel wells and basically be welded in completely inside. I don't want to use up the space to run a cross bar.
Then when I do the cage, it will ferries into that as well.

I guess you have to have tons, or a super shiny ride to win COTM here.

I know right. nothing against the other guys rigs but it looks like yours would easily outperform
same with lowrange it looks like hes finally gonna take it this month. I'm stoked for that. knock on wood tho
I always vote for the most cabable and well-built self-built low budget rig and thats usually the one that loses. theyre always more inspiring for my own project and usually good work goes unappreciated around here

Well I havent had much to update.
I wheeled it this weekend at mabell. Did awesome, but I broke some stuff.
Im trying to get some pics together. But I broke all the bolts off in the rear yoke, so i decided to change it up and drilled it to use ford style u-bolt retainers instead of straps. Way beefier, and way easier to fix on the trail.
Ill have some wheeling pics, and some project update pics shortly.
Im still tossing around axle ideas too, but I think thats all gonna end soon enough

same as normal. about 7-8 in those pics. lowered a little after those pics were shot.
I got a couple things done today getting ready to wheel tomorrow.
new bumper,
Real basic, just 2x4 box. Was built on my buddies jeep but were going to build a new one for that

has a receiver in it, which sits almost 6" higher than the factory hitch. it also uses the side brackets from the hitch to tie into the frame

this is how the carrier is mounted, but it will be modified. It will be moved up, and mounted on a trailer spindle.

haha, he loves that thing, says it sealed the deal buying the jeep so no chance of that. I have to post some pics from yesterdays trip, its fun up there, Ill have to let you know next time im up there.
That is a gm44, Im going to be using reid knuckles, and the 44 outers.
I have had 0 issues with the front axle, so not having to gear a new axle will save some cash, but Ill have big brakes, locking hubs, stronger outer shafts, and I can run high steer.
I still need a long shaft lol, I keep putting it off, but I need one.
