As soon as I manage to get motivated to work on it.
And yes, definitely a budget build. Some things like the axles are cheaper to buy already setup then to build mine. Is it the perfect ratio for what I want? Nah, is it a lot better then stock 3.07's? Heck yes.
as always, been out having some fun with it. Took a few vids playing on the ice out in the swamps.

Looks like it may end up dd'ing the jeep for a bit, OD in my truck started slipping.
Plans to get this thing more road worthy (temporarily, lol)
Thinking about lowering the rear by putting the stock shackles back on so it will sit more level, put better shocks under it and fix the new coolant leak (hose on the driver side of radiator got a pin hole leak last time out)

Well... The ol' xj took a hard beating today..
Few girls wanted to go out mudding, so me and a buddy were going to take them in the xj. I ended up taking a different girl out to dinner, so I let my buddy barrow the xj to take the others out...
Guess he was kind of hard on it! Took out a rear ujoint, so he tried limping it home using just the front axle, and granaded the pass side front shaft.
Then while he was towing it home my jeep rear ended his brand new chevy... I'm unsure if he used to short of a rope or what, I haven't been over to see what all is wrong with it..
Looks like I'll be swapping the 30/44 combo in sooner then I had planned... Im starting to think I need to look for a ford/dodge d60 with gears to match my 14bff... Lol
This about sums up about how I feel about the whole situation right now.
I only have a couple weeks to get this thing prepped to go to the alaska 4x4 meet & greet that we only have once a year.

Mini spool in

Rear end back together

Scored some ubolts at 6 roblies, cost about 1/4 the price as anywhere else.

Being locked front and rear is like having a whole new jeep, hard to believe how much better it does now. The lower gearing really helps with the 36's.
