Make some head way, I ordered a Yoke from Iron rock off road to do away with those weak straps with 8 mm bolts . It is an IRO product they have made , it's a lot stronger then drilling out the stock one . I have seen other companies that make them , but I trust Iron rock so they got my business his time around . part # 10463 88.79 delivered .

I am glad I installed the solid shim, instead of using the crush sleeve .The Install was a piece of cake . remove the old yoke , a little thread sealer on the splines , Lock tight 242 on the threads torque to 125 Foot Pounds and done !!

I also orderd a rear drive shaft from olivers drive shafts, looks good they do good work 266.00 delivered .

I was not sure if the E-brake cables were the right ones when I ordered them , I had gotten the numbers from .... , well I do not remember where I got the part numbers now LOL . But I am here to say they are perfect, they fit like stock , very happy
And that is when doing the grand Cherokee disk brake conversion, I used 1998 grand Cherokee parts.

The new engine will need to run on premium fuel,I tried to siphon the fuel from the filler neck but that did not work. So plan B, use the fuel pressure tester and jump the fuel relay , to easy

Time to top off the cooling system , best way I have found is with the Uview Air lift system . It is the best way to insure you don't get air trapped in the system IMHO . The first time I hooked it up it only sucked down to 15 inches of vacuum not a good sign . I looked for the leak the carpet was ever so slightly damp, so I assume I have a bad heater core , "man I hate doing heater cores" anyway , I bypassed the heater core and It sucked down to 25 Inches of vacuum quickly ,I let it sit for a wile to see if it would hold and it did . And on a side note, it took almost 3 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze including the over flow bottle . just in case someone has never seen or dose not know what an air lift dose or how it works I will post a link to a video .

Just to be on the safe side , I hooked up an oil pressure Gage to insure I have good oil pressure before I try to start it , wouldn't want to see if ATK will make good on their warranty LOL . Pulled the coil wire hooked up a remote starter button and cranked it over , cool good oil pressure , I will leave the fittings and cap it off for now .

WOO HOOO !!! it's alive !! I fired the engine up for the first time everything checks out dash oil pressure shows 50 psi while the manual auto meter Gage shows 62 psi , good to know . running about 48 psi fuel pressure while running , and 58 psi with the key on not running . Engine temp is right at 210 as it should be . Ran the engine at around 2,000 RPM's for 20 minutes to brake the cam in,no leaks everything is good to go , now I need to get it smog checked before the 28 my one year anniversary of having the old gal , A lot has happened to the jeep in this short year , and more to do , but the biggest most expensive part "I hope" is behind me .

Your right it dose feel great to drive it again .

Man this 4.7 is a lot stronger then the 4.0 and I have not got on it hard , but you can tell a difference. Test drive was not to bad backing plate rubbed on the rotor fixed . Then brake line loosened up and the pedal went to the floor fixed . then it made a funny noise turning hard right and now my air bag light is on guess I will have to look at that . Boy the brakes work a lot better them before big plus .
And I changed from a 29 tooth gear to a 37 tooth spdo gear so the spdo should read right , I need to check it with the garmin . They make it easy to do just mach up the number with the slot on the housing .
