If so, so am I but I'm trying to find the best tips and tricks to make it happen...
I've seen most of the tools and the basics but I know there's a lot of info missing compared to what I see on videos and DIY write-ups...
Yes , I am going to try to do it Looks like I may have to make a tool or two , I will try to post some pictures .

I sent them pictures and talk to them on the phone 3 times, they assured me it's right and not to worry LOL . I will physically check it out with a welding rod marking TDC and BDC to see what the stroke is . If it checks out, I will go with it.

I put the rear end on some horses , much easier to work on . Cleaned it up a bit , and knocked out all the races bearings and seals . It took a bit of time to make set up bearings and find pipe to press on the new bearings .

I made a tool for adjusting the carrier I found a lug nut from the front of a semi that was real close ground it at an angle so it would fit snug found a bolt that fit the nut cut it in half and fit them with a peace of pipe and welded it up 29 1/2 over all long done .

chrysler 8.25 torque specs
Pinion Preload new bearing 12 to 15 in-lbs
Ring Gear Backlash .006" to .010"
Ring Gear Bolt Torque 55 ft-lbs.
Carrier Bearing Cap Bolts 60 ft-lbs.

Now to set the pinion preload the ratech kit 4114, comes with the following

crush sleeve eliminator .415
shims
.010
.012
.014
.017
.022
the old crush sleeve was .431
so I started with .010 .014 .415 = .439 to tight
then .012 .017 .415 = .444 to loose
then .010 .017 .415 = .442 and that gave me 16 inch pounds thats as close as it is going to get .
Not to hard to set up, I am Happy with it

I dont get a lot of time to work on the jeep it seems , but some progress was made . I finished the rear end true track and 4:10 gear install and moved it outside to get the jeep in the shop , about time !! pulled the transfer and trans , My bike lift worked well for this . Now I just need to pull the engine , slow but sure, it will get done .

And I want to replace the block heater while it is easy to get to, I could have tried to save the old one but what the heck, I like new . It go's in the first hole but their is a sticker on it that said warranty void if removed so I put it in the next one back very easy install with the engine out .
