Got my firestik FireFly antenna installed and connected to my CB only to find out that the receiver in my CB is toast so its time to replace it. Got a spare to get me by until I get one. It works just need to get the antenna tuned to the XJ and the radio.

Ok I have been trying to figure out an appropriate name for my XJ since I sold my 20 year old truck and bought my SWEET RIG!
Any ideas for a name?

Got the CB working. Borrowed a mic from the guy I work with and it was transmitting and receiving again. So he gave me that one since it was his spare. Also got the FireStik FireFly antenna tuned to my radio and XJ it has a great range now.
Its great when I'm at a job site and need to get materials. I can just radio in now

Well its been a while since I updated. I've been making drives between 1-2 hours one way to different job sites throughout the surrounding counties.
Decided that I need a roof rack for extra cargo room when hauling tools to a site.
Also I want to get my hands on a bull bar from any vehicle that will fit my XJ. (Any ideas would be great)

Well I decided that my XJ needed a good bath over the weekend since the entire vehicle had turned yellowish green with tree pollen. Than while I was at it I decided to wax and polish it...... but now its coated in a layer of fine concrete dust after grinding down window frames at work today.

Well I took the cargo box out to do a complete overhaul to it. going to cut it down to half the size. The guy I work with also makes custom cabinets so he is going to make one custom to fit the space from the back seat to the cargo hatch latch trim and from the factory spare to the cargo latch.
Cutting it down so I can fit my work site radio/battery charger/multi power outlet and this

Well replaced the radiator, thermostat, upper and lower hoses yesterday after the heep tried to overheat on me. When I drained the rad the fluid was rusty orange and slimy. the hoses were blocked up and the t-stat couldn't open. All good now after I flushed it..... Also I did all of this in the O'reilly parking lot.
Next step is a triple electric fan shroud

Well my heep is fixed. The temp is staying down around 190 when driving. So I think that the cooling system seems to be working correctly now.
I can't wait to be medically released to full duty so I can get back to modifying my XJ.
And since I'm only allowed light duty by the Dr. I have an interview at a local computer repair store on monday for a part time job.

Well I got a overhead console and the wire harness from a 2000 XJ classic. A direct "bolt on" modification. Got it wired up and working..... and then the lights in the entire jeep went out
