Well I finally got around to installing a new radio that I've had sitting around for a few months. Found out when I pulled the old header out that the PO had wired it up horribly. each wire was held together with tape. So I re-wired it correctly with the new wire harness.
Now I have a radio with bluetooth. Also installed a set of led lights under the dash and in the glove box.

I will get some pictures posted tomorrow.

Well the good news is that now that I have a job again I can start to afford the modifications that I have been planning to do. And since I managed to lower my car insurance rate by over a hundred dollars I can really afford it now.

And when I read it I found out that my XJ came with keyless entry so now I'm pissed with the car dealer for not forking the remote over. They are going to get a angry call from me today after they open.

Also if I went to the dealer to get the keyless entry re-learned to a new key fob I would be looking at around $100-$200.

why angry? Sometimes previous owners lost or didn't turn in the fobs when they sold the jeep to the dealer.... And the dealers aren't obligated to include a new fob even if the build sheet says it came with one.

The previous owner who was the first and only other owner is one of the salesmen at the dealer..... and they told me straight out that the XJ did not have RKE

The dealer is correct. It doesn't have keyless. No fobs = no keyless.

Willing to bet the Crappy factory system failed, of ****ty fobs broke. No one wants to spend $400 on a set of fobs. Quit complaining and go get an aftermarket alarm and be done.

Don't be the guy who cries to the dealership because something wasn't included, that was told that it wasn't included, on a used vehicle.

Well after hitting my bump stops every day for the past month I decided to go the the junk yard today and picked up a set of S10 leaf springs. Love the new height, just need to add coil spacers to get it level..... unless anyone has any advice for a set of springs to use.

Well I finally was able to tow my trailer again. Since my original springs had sagged to the point that I would hit the pump stops if I hit a crack in the pavement, I had to stop towing or hauling in general.... And now that I have the S10 bastard pack I'm no longer bottoming out. With the trailer fully loaded with furniture I hardly lost an inch in my rear wheel wells.

And with S10 bastard pack I gained around 2 inches of lift from the height when I bought it.

Now I just need to get a pair of V8 grand Cherokee front springs and paint a large scratch on my rear bumper. When I was backing the trailer into a parking space I over steered and hit the bumper with the spare trailer tire... the locking brackets on the tire scratches the @$%& out of my bumper
