To everyone on here that knows I live in Florida. I left the Tampa area on Thursday in the afternoon with my family and our pets. We made it 80 miles in 3 hours due to traffic. On the way my caravan had to be jump started three times before making it just south west of Jacksonville... and I had a tire blow out. My van was left in a Walmart parking lot and I rented a new Chrysler Pacifica. Before making it out of Florida my mother ran over a nail and got a flat. We made it through Georgia and half way through South Carolina before we could get the tire replaced.... so we were driving on a donut. And we finally made it to North Carolina yesterday afternoon.

It is not looking very good for my house at this time as the storm is heading straight for it. And with the water receding like it is I'm starting to think that my house will end up flooded.

Well I have some good news. I got word from a family friend that stayed in Florida that my house is ok. No broken windows and the Florida room I just built on is still there with no visible water damage..... No I just need to get down there after the power is restored and get rid of all the rotting food in the house and check for any flood damage to the inside of the property.

For now I'm just going to enjoy my time in North Carolina and do some hiking in the countryside and mountains...... I'm also planning to move with my family to N.C.

Well its about time I posted the news on here. I sold my XJ back in February. I now have a Chevrolet S10 as I needed a truck for work.
