Ok so here we go.

I am starting with a 1995 SE, 4.0 HO, 4x4, NP231, AW4, Dana 30/turdy-5, with BFG 235s, and everything else bone stock. I picked this up for $2000 cash.

The first thing I did was change the oil, full tune-up, removed old busted catalytic converter and muffler, and installed a new cat and a cheap glasspack cherry bomb muffler (yeah I know they suck but I needed something that would work for the time being). The muffler doesn't sound bad. Actually, it sounds pretty good to me.

The next thing I had to do was replace the NP231, as the previous owner had put a hole in it somehow and burnt it up. Picked one up at pick-a-part for $300.

I could no longer stand having to listen to the stock AM/FM stereo. It didn't even have a cassette player, and I live in the mountains, so radio stations are rare and full of static. I had a stereo and sub laying around for the last 8 or 9 years that came out of my old truck, so I just installed them for some decent sound. The stock speakers still sound pretty good.

Still waiting for my tires, wheels, and tow hitch. My tires and tow hitch will be here tomorrow, but my wheels won't be in until next week some time. I am gonna put the lift on this weekend without the new tires. This is the only weekend my brother and I have off together that we can install the lift on. I am just gonna have the local tire shop mount and balance my tires and do an alignment next week when the wheels arrive.

SO STOKED!!!!!!!!

Started on the lift this morning. About 2 1/2 hours in and all bolts coming out nicely. I love having no rust.
