Hey my name is Brandon and I am 18 years old (senior in high school) . On a low budget.
Anyways I was just recently introduced to the xj world this past October in 2008 when my uncle sold me his 2000 xj for $2000!!!! Needless to say he takes pretty good care of me!!

I think it is very clean jeep and I fell in love with it. This is my dd and I am going to put a small lift on it and some bigger tires. However, it sucks living in your parents house, when your stepdad tells you that you can not lift it!!!! So I have to be very sneaky about this. He doesnt know anything about lifts and Im pretty sure i can get away with like 3" of lift and just blame the new tires for making it look big, I know this will work because he doesnt know that the bronco is lifted at all. I have began my sneaky process by taking out some money from my saving and my checks and storing it in a safe place. So he doesnt notice a sudden change in my bank account. I just ordered a bull bar/light bar and it should be here sometime this week and I cant wait to put it on and post some pics. I should have be able to put the lift on by May or June. Here are some specs to my Jeep
2000 XJ
4.0 High Output Inline 6
AW-4
NP-231
D30
Chrysler 8.25
Tires - 235/75/R15 Wrangler Radial's
Soon to be on the XJ
RC 3" lift full leafs (I think this is a good size for a dd, plus my stepdad wont tell the difference)
T/C drop
cb radio
bull bar with 2 lights
31x10.5x15 bfg km2's or destination m/t's
airraid intake
Cragar black soft 8's
....got a long ways to go
Here are some pics of my XJ

nice XJ and bronco
Why not turn your Xj into a "You and Stepdad project" and get him involved with you a little more?
Sneaking around isnt the best way to do things,...

To be honest he doesnt like me too much. He doesnt like anything to do with jeeps or antyhing like that he thinks its dumb. I dont know...hard to explain man. Me and him do not get along at all, lots of tension!!!! Im going to college here this next year which is like 2 hours away from here. So i wont be seeing him much anyways. His reason for not letting me lift it up is cuz i will be going to college....and i really want a lift with bigger tires. I am 18 years old...I should be able to do whatever i want to it.

Haha oh yea. Bunch of deer down here why i want to get a old truck with a grille guard and go mudding through fields and chase deers down.
.
But who knows maybe once we both get our XJ's lifted we can maybe meet up and go on a trail ride.

just use your jeep...lol..get a roof rack to put them up there....lol....i bought a hitch rack and i put that on when i go hunting..so i can just throw them on there....lol but i find it very easy for people to run into it when i go throw drive thru's..the first day i had it on...some lady in her husbands f350 ran right into it...cracked one of the holes to put a tow strap through..so she gave me a $50 check...i thought that was sweet!!!!

its also funny to see their expressions when they hit it...lol

its also funny to see their expressions when they hit it...lolyeah man..we can make that happen sometime..i was lookin around for trails..and there is a trail that is kinda by ames i think...it looks pretty sweet!..its either by ames or iowa city..bout 700 or 800 acres if i remember right...i also know of some indian ground that is owned by the Macey tribe..and i go through some trails on that ground to get the iowa public part of the land...and if its kinda muddy those trails would be sweet!!!!...and if its really dry...there will be a pond that is dried up....big mud hole!!!
