Project - TWISTER SQUIRT (2000 XJ)
That XJ is CLEAN. My folks live in the Iowa City area and the only reason his XJ doesn't have rust is he bought it in Oregon where they don't get snow...so no salty roads.
If your stepdad doesn't know the Bronco is lifted, you should be find for sure. To be on the safe side, I'd consider waiting to install the bull bar and all the other stuff at the same time so it is just "an optical illusion"

I am deff going to be following this one. I also am 18 and a senior in highschool but my stepdad is much more involved in my modification of my 2001 Cherokee.
Currently got Rear BPE and a RE 3.5 Super Ride full leafs sitting in my room waiting to go on. I have a bedlined bull bar with procomp 100 watt offroad lights already on it. I plan on going for some 32x11.50s and thinking about bushwacker flares.
Good luck to you, Senior year is kick *** so dont forget that!

Hell yeah man! I am definitely having a blast this year! Hope you are making the most of your senior year as well!!! My stepdad likes doing stuff to vehicles but for some reason does not want me putting any sort of lift on it....i mean all i want is something a lil more than stock. 3" seems perfect to me. I would go bigger but whats the point, thats what the ol' bronco is for...haha...hopefully i can sneak this all past him...if he notices a difference...i will jus say it is a cheap lift with spacers and shackles
I know what you mean about your stepdad I am nearly 30 years old and my dad complains about every mod I do to MY jeep but it is my money and my jeep so I just take it with a grain of salt.

finally got around to posting the pics of the bull bar...kinda forgot all about this thread I made.

turned into a pretty good project...it turned out alot more work then i expected..i thought i could just squeeze my hands up into the bumper...but with all that garbage blocking my way i had to jus take the bumper apart a lil bit and slide it off.

sweet man..i wish i lived in southern iowa....im towards the northern part..but im going to college at the university of iowa..so i will be down in the area before long...and that blows about payin your dad 50 dollars everytime....that would hurt the wallet!
If your 18 and the title is in your name, you pay insurance, and you register it, he cant say or do anything. At that point the only thing he would have on you is not using (his? yard to do the work in)
BTW that light bar is really clean looking, where did you order it from?
