This will be a very "trend" setting build.
From all the research I've done no one has tried this motor swap. Good or bad it will be fun.

You're pretty much saying "I can't choose between the 4 cyl. or the 6 cyl. stock option. Why not combine them into one?" lol

its nice to see someone isn't putting yet another chevy
350 crate block in a Jeep! *shudders* ugh.
And holy burning rubber batman, that horse-to-weight ratio is going to be flat out evil!!
Not to nitpick, but I'm guessing you've taken into account the mass shearing forces that will be at work when you goose it in 4wd?!
That unibod will indeed need reinforcement, so will the control arm mount points, trans cross-member, motor mounts, trans mount.......ect....blah blah. so your probably going to do alot of fab right?
are you going with a LA setup? How many links?
Your axle choice sounds sturdy. I'm just exited to see this kind of build,
so please excuse me if I sound critical, Just going over my limited fab knowledge checklist.

But really.......that setup is going to put new meaning behind the term "burning rubber"
Good Luck!

There will be TONS of fab involved.
I've been reading alot of Jeep Speed builds and Crawler builds to find the best of both worlds. The shear factor is something that is being looked at real close. I don't want to get it built and on the first run twist it up like a pretzel. So there is alot of though, planning and research going into this build.
As for link I'll most likely end up with a 3 link long arm in the front and a one off leaf spring setup out back.. The leaf set up is taken tips from a few Toyota builds I've seen.

Been doing a bit more research on axles and wheels.
Seeing as more than likely I'll end up with late model D60's (01-current F250 axles). I can get a set rather cheap for a D60.
So the use of H2 wheels won't do seeing as H2 wheels are 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern and late model F250 axles are a 8 on 170mm bolt pattern.
BUTT I've found what will help in cost.
In stead of H2's with inner air locks I think I'll end up running re-centered H1's. Than I can get what ever back space I want/need and bead locks all in a fairly cheap package..

Did a bit of # search the V10 weighs in at 711lbs and the 4.0L weighs in at 515lbs.
So it's a bit of a weight gain but not as bad as you would have thought.
I also found out that a V10 8.0L is just a 360 with 2 more cylinders and a bit longer stroke. And you can use all the 360 RAM accessory's on the V10 as well.
