Went to bed with her parked on the flat, come out this morning and she had decided to do what she wanted.

Been doing a few mods to the baby XJ today. Fun things happen when I have a cut off wheel, angle grinder, sander, drill, welder, and spare metal. Will post pictures of the in progress and finished once I'm done.

So I decided to snap a couple of horrible pictures last night, and proceed to upload them in the wrong order. Compare the old and new pictures in this thread and spot the differences. Also, no measuring, everything was done freehand and by eye. I think it turned out pretty decent, and it's not done yet. I got the driver's side light in, and was almost done cutting out the passenger side when I remembered the subframe was probably going to interfere, so I started kicking myself for that, said screw it, finished cutting and mounting the pass. side, did a test fit, and I've got nearly a half-inch of clearance between the rear of the lights and the front of the subframe.

The mockup looks funny because of the lighting angle, but it's sitting properly, even though it doesn't look it. Currently I'm fabbing up military style shrouds for the lights since they do protrude from the bumper a little bit, and I want them protected better than they already are. More pics will be coming soon!

Nope, the K&N sheds most of the water, and what little bit does get sucked in helps clean the carbon off the cylinders. When the rig is parked though, I drop a metal coffee can over it, because it will fill up over time.

Ran into a fellow Jeeper the other day, he was parting out an 89 XJ with a lot of aftermarket stuff. Ended up picking up a nice rear bumper, heavy 2x4 box steel with a swing out tire carrier, along with integrated taillights and rear quarter panel armour. When I get home, pictures will be posted.

Side note: Bumper and armour ran me $40!

Had a little bit of fun, got some fancy stuff bolted onto my father's XJ. I'm pleased with how it looks, except I need to re-work the rear quarterpanels, they look like **** with that flare, in my opinion.
