Project slow Sienna 00
I Bought my 2000 Cherokee sport about a year back. I picked her up with 86k and for $5200. Im alittle late at starting this, so ill have to do some catch up, wish i would of took more pics along the way. Here is the pic from Craigslist ad i purchased from
Specs are 4.0L, AW4, dana 30 upfront and Chrysler 8.25 rearend 3.55 gears and factory tow package, with all the options other than cruise control, talk about a wake up call.
This is what she looked like the day i got her.
As far PO mods it came with a set of Hella 500's, Old Man Emu steering stabilizer, and Tuff Country EZ-Ride 3.5 lift with coils upfront and blocks in the rear, sitting on 31's
Shortly after i started looking for mud but there is little to be found in sept in my neck of the woods.
The first addition was a surco rack and tire carrier to carry around gear and snowboards and some hella's later down the road.
Christmas brought 2 new sets of Hella 500's and pair of Silverstar headlights.
Even added a CF sticker on both rear windows, gotta show support.
Had to do something about the front end caps so i tried trimming them up with a hot blade. Turned out nice.
Next i started thinking recovery and added a set of factory tow hooks and shackle in the rear tow hitch.
Was given a old school Cb radio and mounted it under the seat, ill post pics of my new cb when i get it mounted. I took a hood cb antenna mount and cut a notch in my end cap and mounted it to my bumper.
She finally got broke in, so i bought a used set of 32 wild country radial rvt, and went to find some mud.
With a 100,000 mile and a slight miss at idle while in park, i went ahead and did a tune up, changed the CPS and the camshaft position sensor along with taking the the throttle body off and cleaning it and the IAC valve with throttle body cleaner, I also decided to changed the plugs and go ahead to make the switch to 784 injectors that i picked up off a member by the name of Programbo, out of the for sale section

Ended up swapping my tow hooks for a home brew new to me tube bumper with my brother in-law That goes by Kelso on the forum.
Thats all for now, its a slow build while i was finishing up school but hopefully things will pick up some steam. End goal is to turn her into a weekend wheeler in few years with, no more than 4.5 inches of lift, hopefully long arms, and 35's and at least 456 gears. Thanks for the looks and opinions.

The tires are great. They handle pretty well in the mud lots of traction and have great street manors pretty quiet and not to bumpy. All in all not a bad $100 investment.

Got a few goodies for christmas Optima Red Top, Cobra 40ch mini cb, hi lift, and gobi ladder rack that im still waiting for in the mail. Had a chance to install today.
Here is a closer pic of how the hi lift is mounted. I had to fab up something to attach it to my surco rack cheaper than 90 bucks they want for the attachment.
I used to half inch bolts and winch nuts but built up some padding out of rubber diamond plate sure steps and rubber washers to get it far enough from rack to avoid chatter. I used a locking hitch pin in the middle to keep it secure when some SOB tries to still it.
I mounted the cb alot like everyone else, just used the center console on the tranny bump.
When the Gobi ladder shows up ill snap some pics of the install and let you guys know how it does. Heading the JY maybe tomorrow who knows what goodies i could find.

Got home today and found my Gobi ladder sitting on the doorstep.
It Utilizes a mounting plate that is held on with 3m tape and screws on the back side after slidding it over the hatch lip. The ladder mounts by placing the ladder over the threaded bolts and 3m tape on the bottom edge. It also comes with a bottom load support that moves some weight to the bumper
The install was fairly smooth, ok i might of had a few bright moments but thats because of 12yr old rear hatch supports that will support the weight of the ladder. It took maybe 30 minutes and I had the move my roof rack 2 inches or so forward i could get the hatch to open fully but i had a feeling i was going to have to.
Overall all im very pleased with the ladder great quality and nice welds. Its on there solid and i dont think i could take it off if i wanted to, but time will tell but i tend to hear great things about them.
