784 upgrade fuel injectors
Well since I see there is a lull in anyone selling these I will jump in and part with some of my vast hoard of injectors. I am selling sets of 6 cleaned tested and semi-rebuilt 784 "Neon" injectors. These are a direct swap out "upgrade" injector for 99-01 XJs and if you have an earlier (87-95) XJ I also have EV-6 to EV-1 adapters which will allow these injectors to work in place of the EV-1 703 injectors.
Basically I clean off the outsides with degreaser then take the injectors apart and let them soak a day in concentrated injector cleaner. I then reverse flush them out and then open them with a battery and visually check the spray pattern (Using compressed starting fluid). I then put them back together using new micro-filters and new o-rings on the tops and make sure there are perfect (But used) o-rings and pintle caps on the bottoms. Then I test them with an ohm meter to make sure they are within their correct range. Not quite professional rebuilding but pretty clean.
I am asking $70 a set shipped for the 784s and $80 a set for the 784s with the adapters. (A deal considering these adapters cost $25 for a set of 8 on Ebay). I also have 1 set of higher flow 715's for $70 shipped and 2 sets of the Ford "yellow stick" 710's cleaned the same way for $40 shipped. I am in Baltimore, MD and will ship by Priority Mail. Any questions at all please send me a PM. I can accept PayPal or a money order by mail.

I just ordered a set of these last sat and recieved them on tues, very fast. I have an 01 XJ and was throwing a #6 injector code. I was also haveing the fuel pump syptoms, ie: needing too turn the key on and off 3-4 times to start it. So figured injectors first.
So i followed the write up info by dukie 564, pretty simple swap. Few things diff on the 01, but nothing major. Had a hard time getting the rail off. As it turned out #5&6 were bad and were still pressureized. Anyway, did the swap, runs like a frickin top, definate throttle response improvement, and best of all, starts first turn of the key everytime! No bad fuel pump! Ahhh life is good. Thanks Programbo for a quality product and to dukie for the easy to follow write up. And thanks jeep cherokee forum, I love this site and have learned so much from so many.

No for an '01 the 784s are plug and play. Can't say for sure if an injector is the cause of your misfire code but it's one of the best possibilities. Maybe switch 2 of your injectors around and see if the misfire moves with them?

Hello. As Crispy mentioned they switched from EV-1 to EV-6 in '98 so it can have either. But I think the majority of 98's I've seen seem to have the EV-1 plugs so check first.
