I would try getting some solid core wire, and what psi are you running the gas at?

Well I run 30 psi on a 220, not sure what the optimal psi is for a 110 but I probably would have guessed 20.

you played with both settings? you have a good clean ground and clean surface where you are trying to weld? that is the only time I have ever had an issue when to welding with gas.

Really excited to get my new axles tomorrow! Anyone know if I'm gonna need to weld coil buckets on or not? And is 3.31 gearin bad? The guy said he knows people running 37s on those gears but that seems a tad bit high of gearing

If you have an auto you'll have a bit of power loss, but if you have a manual youll get some power back

well I got them today. REAL dirty on the outside, but inside (of the AMC 20 atleast) is gorgeous (compared to my 8.8 and 30). Getting it cleaned up and most likely going to have to weld new spring purches to the rear and most likely coil buckets to the D44. Well here are the pics

Rear

So I started the jeep up today and it smelled sooo bad from the exhaust! Like I couldn't breath! Any ideas what it could be?
