I got a rebuilt np242 with Tom Woods SYE and boostwerks linkage for $250. I know TW makes the best "SYE" for the 242 so that should give an idea.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I mean I would prefer the u joint to be the weak link, but then again the RockTrac tcase is a beast and not like the R&P on the Rock Jocks is weak so it probably still will be.
