Spend the money on a better one. Ask me how I know, lol...used it once, and it blew out. Got another from Cornwell, use it daily with no issues.

That works just fine actually. A little messy so of course wear a mask and eye protection. That's actually what I used to do a majority of the work and the undercoating comes off in seconds. Used this one on the drill to do the tighter spaces.

I could've done that and I'm not sure what stiffeners roninofako used, but the HD offroad stiffeners look like swiss cheese. I'd pretty much be scraping everywhere anyways.

Pretty close to finishing up the prep so we should be on track to weld and also install the 3 link this weekend. The rear and fronts seemed much easier to do, just had to take off the wheels.

And just because the Jeep hasn't been posted in a while. Here she is with everything just begging to be installed in the background.

makes sense on the scraping.

Noticed that it looks like you have a brace for the gear box, but how will your bumper mount now that the bolts are being taken up by the brace?

I think I may have posted it somewhere in here, but can't remember. That's the JCR brace so it's made specifically to tie in my bumper so it can be yanked on for recovery. Also have the JCR steering spacer back there.

Where did you get the tented turn signal covers? I thought I saved a link to a full set including rear tail lights, but apparently I didn't.

A buddy of mine will be doing the welding, but he did mention spraying this stuff on the backside of the stiffeners.

Agreed 100%. Unfortunately, the front stiffeners are not made to go with this brace so they will have to be trimmed lol.

I believe it was ebay. It's been a while since I got them. They aren't really as dark as they look in that photo. This is probably a better representation of the color of them

They look way better than the orange though. Plus I think they'd pop on my gunmetal pearl. I was thinking using Nightshade on them, but I don't know how I feel about it.

Started making a list of things left to be "done".... need a small army to get this done timely. Any takers? Lol

Yup, I was saying they aren't as dark as in that's a good thing. They look way cleaner and better than sprayed corners imo. Would look good on your rig for sure.

NM. It's mostly the little details that add up, but going to try to ramp up the progress by working a little bit everyday even if it's only for an hour or so. Should be some pretty speedy progress once the stiffeners and 3 link are on.

lol... not to mention the little wires that give way and like to impale themselves into things. A friend of mine was using a wire wheel on a bench grinder to clean off some metal. He was wearing a pair of safety glasses, but not a plastic shield. Little wire flung off the wheel and buried itself right at the tip of his nose. Funniest thing to happen at work ever when he suddenly shouted out "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!! Dude, really?!?!?! Right on the tip OF MY NOSE?!?!?!"

I love the amount of OCD in that picture.

Here ya go man... I've got a few listings saved in one of my collections. For the smoked, the clear, and the euro-clear.

If someone walked into my garage they would think I am building an awesome Jeep.... but they would be wrong, I am merely hoarding parts at this point
