Almost forgot, I am pretty sure I am going to run the Currie Currectlync system for steering. If I feel the need, I may upgrade to high steer at some point, but I have a feeling I'll be happy with the Currie steering on a build like this. Going to flip the drivers side OTK with a goferit insert so I'm also adding Synergy extended sway bar mounts to prevent any clearance issues.

Just read all 10 pages before bed. Another gorgeous build to follow. Looking forward to the new flares! Can't decide what I want for mine. Was thinking Rusty's steel ones. Thanks whoever posted a link to here in roninofako's thread!

Thanks! I'm trying to be patient on the flares, but not going to lie its starting to wear thin. Been waiting for quite a while, hopefully soon. Those Rusty's flares are nice. Check out Dirtbound Offroad, they just started make a similar set that are a little nice imo.

Max at DBO is a stellar guy. Don't hesitate to give him business. I'll have to check those out as I have been interested in some for a while...

Nice stuff. I like the bent tube look better than the squared off stuff. Matches one of my friends metal cloak fenders. Wonder if he can add the rear side bar like Rusty's has. Might have to pick up that center console bracket too. I don't think I could make it and powder coat it and buy all the hardware for $40...

Finally gave in and called Notch for another update. They said pending how many flares are received from their manufacturer that mine will be shipped either this Friday or next at the latest.

Any progress is good progress right? Slowing getting the unibody prepped. There's no fun or easy way to do this, but should be ready for stiffeners and 3 link this weekend.

Makes short work of that crud under there. Then mark and grind the areas you're gonna weld.

Use mine all the time. One of my favorite tools. Grinding that crap off sucks.

Why not just scrape the parts that will be welded? I noticed that it seemed like that roninofako did that.

that's called a needle scaler. The needles pound, scratch, push the material off the surface.
