I'll be changing the front u joint on the front of my rear shaft this week, I can hear it going out.

And thanks!!

I taped them up, but the paint is starting to peel now, so in the warmer months I'm gonna take them off, sand them well, and do a good job painting them lol

Another thing you can try is torching them.. mine are faded and when your torch them they turn back to black.. not quite as glossy but still an idea. i might try this first

Get those vibes figured out? Still slowly buying replacement parts for this thing. I should have it all back together this month.

Replaced the front u joint on the rear shaft and all of the really bad vibes are gone. I still have minor ones at 50-52 MPH, but nothing I'm concerned with right now. Whats wrong with your jeep?

Only thing wrong is the Dana turdy-five. It on the way out. While I'm waiting I'm cleaning up and replacing parts on it. So when the 35 dies I can put an almost brand new rear in it.

So in recent news, as you can read from the above post, most of my vibes are gone from replacing the u joint. Also I was getting some grinding noise from my rear diff from 40-45 MPH so I popped the cover and it was perfect back there. So I have no clue were it came from, but since I changed it the fluid, I haven't had any of grinding.

As far as "upgrades", I will be making some spare cash this weekend and should be getting some YJ brake lines.

Haven't been on here in a while, too busy with school. I recently had an AA SYE installed for no labor fees by the guys at DND offroad, and used a ZJ front shaft. Mike told me I needed so get a new front driveshaft due to some up and down play. I will be replacing that on wednesday, as well as taking out the tcase drop. Also installed a hitch and tranny cooler recently. Mods coming up include ZJ tie rod, rear disc brakes, and some cosmetic stuff. Stay tuned.

Replaced my front drive shaft today, the old one had some up and down play in the slip.

In the coming weeks I'm getting my exhaust welded up, converting my drive shaft straps (at the axle ends) to u bolts, removing the transfer case drop, getting extended brakes lines, and a ZJ tie rod.

It's nice finally having the SYE in, now i can focus on the little odds and ends i can upgrade and fix.

Well, its been a few weeks. I got the rear installed. I removed the rear swaybar. I also added 3" rough country spring, coils and shocks. I've got a little vibes. I'm gonna replace my front driveshaft with new uni-joints. I post up when I'm done.

Nice bro! Unfortunately saving for college has canceled my plans for my jeep, but that life. It's nice to see your is coming along. Looking forward to your response. While your replacing the ujoints, check the slip yoke for up and down play.

Hi there! - great look. I haven't lifted mine yet. First I need to find some good looking steel wheels and BF tires. Can you tell me what size tires and wheels you had on yours before the lift (it was still at stock when you fitted it with black wheels and Firestone tires right?)

Thank you!

Kasper

Yes in that picture my jeep was stock with the black crager soft 8's and 235 tires. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
