Yesterday I had removed my roof rack because the threaded rods for the brackets had become soooooo rusty thanks to the previous owner that I had almost 30 washers on some of the thread just to get a bite onto the nut.
It looked so horrible.... and so rigged. The rigged, hackjob look is not my style.
So today, I made some all-new threaded rods for the brackets, and painted the brackets:

Will get this all installed tomorrow with pictures.

So my Chrysler 8.25 axle plug has been leaking differential oil for months. Today, I put on an all-new plug:

No more leaking hopefully.

Flip the switch to on and it keeps the OD off... keeps the transmission from shifting in and out of overdrive when towing or hauling heavy loads. Same thing as tow/haul mode on a HD truck.
Love me some trucklites
Nice rack

Okay, forget that overdrive toggle switch, lol.
I found this TJ Rubicon Axle Lock toggle switch, and it's way cooler because it's orange:

Yeah, I think the locker rocker switch - hey, "Locker Rocker" haha (sorry) - would definitely be more useful than the OD toggle. Get yourself a set of ECTEDs and wire one of 'em up to the switch.
The idea of "OD off" is kinda strange to me anyway. The AW4 isn't necessarily an "overdrive" in the traditional sense anyway. The "overdrive" effect you get is from the torque converter locking up. Traditional overdrives are the final gear being of a ratio that is numerically lower as to drop the engine RPM's to a lower speed than the transmission input shaft (1 gear "over" drive). AW4's achieve that through TC lockup instead of a "gear" so I'm not sure that it would be as damaging to the AW4 for the TC to lock and unlock than a traditional tranny shifting in and out of a gear.

Hey, if the 2014 Cherokee is good enough to be considered "Trail Rated," then I'll take my trail rated 4x4 badge too. Thanks Mopar.
