Default Project 'Hole in the Pocket'

I bought my XJ last December. Currently my daily driver, never been trailing yet, but I think I have plans to go sometime next week if everything goes well. I guess you could say I like keeping it clean.

What it came with:

124k miles
4.0L Inline 6 engine
3:55 gearing
NP242 transfer case
Chrysler 8.25 rear axle
Dana 30 high pinion front axle
AW4 Automatic
Power everything
Leather seats
Factory cargo hider

What I added:

Class III hitch
TruckLite LED headlights
6.5" short arm Rough Country lift kit
Rough Country control arm drop kit
Rough Country forged track bar and drop bracket

Rough Country front winch bumper with stinger bar and d-rings
Rough Country high pinion Dana 30 differential guard

Motive Gear 4:56 gears with new Timken bearings
Tom Woods' NP242 slip yoke eliminator
Tom Woods' double cardan rear driveshaft
12,000 pound winch with wireless remote
Tow hook receiver hitch
Red LED interior lights
Limo tint
Infinity Tweeters
Chrysler CD/tape/radio
Police package four-switch toggle switch bezel
Police package EXT idle switch
Custom stainless steel CB antenna mount with 3-foot Firestik II
V8 Jeep ZJ tie rod
12-inch 5820 Lumen LED light bar
50-inch 29,400 Lumen LED light bar
4x4 5w LED light pods
Rough Country fairlead LED light bar mount
Inspired Engineering gutter LED light bar mounts
Inspired Engineering A-pillar LED light pod mounts
Dodge Neon 784 four-port fuel injectors
New rod bearings
New AC compressor
New battery
New brakes
New heater core & evaporator core
New 195º Mopar thermostat
New Gates water pump
Dodge Durango 136-amp alternator
Banks Monster cat-back exhaust
JKS Quicker Disconnects
BDS extended stainless steel braided brake lines
Rough Country leaf spring shackle relocation kit
Rough Country rear TJ bar pin eliminators
Bilstein 5100 series shocks
CSF 2-Row all-metal radiator
Hayden medium duty transmission cooler
Goodyear Gatorback serpentine belt
LED turn signals/brake lights/reverse lights
Clear marker lights and turn signal housings

Needed a hitch, so eventually I grabbed a class III hitch and prepped it, then painted it black and added it:

And now here we are with the 6.5" lift kit and 33" tires:

More to come!

Thanks bud; took my gas mileage and power down a bit, but I'll think about re-gearing soon when I save up a little more. It should help me with both gas mileage and quicker takeoffs.

Love the 5 foot antenna, I need to mount mine like you mounted yours. I just bolted a mirror mount to the plastic end cap on the bumper. obv the range sucks becuase it's too short to be mounted so low.

I bought the five foot antenna before I bought a heavy-duty antenna spring, so it was flailing around on the medium-duty antenna spring at probably 90º angles when at highway speeds or turning corners. It's a miracle I didn't hit anyone

Thanks! The mount puts up with a surprising amount of weight for the gauge of steel used. When I was finished with it I couldn't decide between painting it black or polishing it to be chrome-like to match the rest of the CB parts. I figured since black looks good with the blue on the Jeep I'd do black.

My Rough Country 6.5" coils (by the way I noticed the sway bar link way too close to the coil and adjusted it with some locktite):

Tom Woods NP242 SYE:

Rough Country Control Arm drop kit:

She barely fits in the garage, but I managed. Worked on putting the CB coaxial cable through the interior instead of just under the carpets:

The new wire job looks better than the white wire in original post:

Fender trimming up front is very minimal. I wanted the Jeep to look as stock as possible up there:

A closer look at my wheels/tires:

Good clearance:
