Sweet build man, just read the entire thing basically lol.

From the looks of those night pics it looks like you're from Duluth, which I actually live down in west duluth if you're anywhere near there. Only been to gilbert a few times due to lack of time/funds and not knowing too many people so I normally hit some local spots that are closer to duluth with a few buddies(not nearly as fun as gilbert but I still get my adrenaline fix lol)

Either way, love the rig

Randomly got an email from this place holy hell sorry about all the PMs I havent replied to, I will update now haha

Not much, got the new balljoints and shaft in. I ordered up an ARES fab front tj fullwidth winch bumper with xj brackets, then ordered up an ARES fab rear bumper. Tonight I ordered up jester fab weld on beadlocks, gonna have those welded on to my current wheels and run some tire tubes since 2 of my tires keep going flat.

Also we had to unfortunately put down my 12 year old golden lab, he had a paralyzed larynix in his throat and was developing cancer. It was hard but it was harder to see him suffer. My parents and little brother took it the worst..they ended up picking up a new pup 2 weeks ago. He is a golden retreiver/german shepard mix. I wasnt ready for a new dog yet but im warming up to him. We finally all agreed on a name, his name is Rocky

I also bought a new trailer a couple weeks ago. Its a 26' deckover. Was going to put a camper on the front but im trying hard to save for college hahaha

Good to know you're still around and still have the Pepper... we still get questions all the time about your previous XJ ("Whose XJ is that on the splash screen for the app?")

Haha thats awesome I forgot it was still on the app screen. I have been slammed with work, trying to find a house, etc.

I also picked up a front clip and fenders off a 99 cherokee yesterday, cutting that up and painting it this weekend if I get time

Just read the build thread from when you got your white XJ, love it. How do you like just being around 4"s on 38s? Really makes me motivated for 35s on 4"s. I don't recall you posting any pictures but did you stiffen the uniframe at all? What did you do for bumpstops?

I am still at 4" and 36s I am selling my 38s but I really like it. Feels 10x more stable than any of my previous rigs and it will do anything I throw it at. My bumpstops are my shocks lol. I have doetsch tech 8000s which have a built in bumpstop and I never jump my jeep so when they do hit, its a slow and gentle contact. I am running shocks for an 8" lift.

As for plating, I welded in some DOM tubing into the rails when I had the floors out and I am planning on a cage over the winter. It just depends if I can sort the small stuff thats bugging me out or if I should just get a new body and swap it all over. My wipers dont work, none of the lights work right now, couple other small things.

I have Doetsch 8000s as well, love them but will need to replace the fronts obviously when long arms go in. I'm thinking about u bolt plate bump stop for the rear and extended front bumpstop with either 2 or 3 hockey pucks.

Whatever works there are so many ways to bumpstop. I just chose the easy way worked great on all my previous rigs. No risk over extending shocks

Did you just use larger shocks (say advertised for 8"s of lift) so there's little up travel?

Yeah they were 8" fronts and 6.5" rears if I remember right. 8" rears sat on the bumpstops at ride height lol

Thanks. I'll most likely take the shocks out and measure everything but I doubt it'll be easy with the tire on and limited space.
