my brother just set himselp up with a Canon Rebel T1i since it was getting cleared out and just started photography, good for me haha.

I had a close call with my cherokee, just before i started the build it a civic slid into me but i got it fixed and built it up. Check it out if ya want, my build thread is in my signature.

im still up in the air about colors..i know i have a long time until i have to figure it out but im considering doing an all silver..because come to think of it, i realize why i didnt like the two tone i had. the black fades and shows all the scratches way to easy. i know it will get beaten on either way just still want it to look somewhat presentable hahaha

 

well not much of an update, but this summer im going up with my girlfriend and some friends and were gonna pull the suspension, axles, tcase, and some other odds and ends off the xj and probably sell the body, interior and more stuff to a friend and then my brother turns 16 next year. he wants to buy the zj so i will be selling that to him and using the $$$ to buy another xj and swap over the suspension and everything to the new xj. i will more than likely be getting another 97+ cherokee. the xj will once again be a DD too.

ill more than likely be dropping it to 6.5" but be keeping it on 35s. i just miss the xj so much..im literally watching vids and looking at pics of it and miss DDing it too. i will more than likely be gearing the axles to 4.56s too when i have them out.

haha same city man i live in savage too. you may have seen this jeep before at the discount tire in burnsville off 42 and 5. if im not at school im at work. you will probably see my white zj there too. it will be on 17" black JK moabs with tinted tails and a budget boost come spring.

as for the jeep, my girlfriends dad really wants to work on it so it might be getting caged, lowered and painted come summer. as soon as shes wheelable again, im going to sell the zj and get a truck to pull it with.

Wait wait wait.....hold on a minute.. In you're one post you said you were gonna tear it apart and sell the shell, then your next post said you were gonna keep it and cage it......sooooo......my question iss...Are you gonna keep it? or not?

 

I think he said his GF's dad wanted to cage it so he dicided to keep it again. if I'm wrong correct me.

 

nice yeah thats what i wanted to do with another xj but a truck is looking more like the next rig ill get

keeping it, im going to work out all the little things..in the end it might be a little more expensive and alot more work then buying another and swapping but shes still my jeep haha

yup this. i was looking at cage prices and cheapest i could find was $1400 so i was like eff that but i my gf's dad really wants to take a shot at making a cage so we will see what happens. next time we go up im going to bring the plans and see what he thinks. it would be a great project since im going to school for engineering and could maybe use it for a project for school haha.

nah sorry havent had any time to go up and see it. if anything my gf's dad took his street rod truck out of storage and is keeping at his house so the jeep is getting its very own garage for the summer

yup haha. went up this weekend and took the bumper off of it. im selling the bumper and if all goes well, picking up a 1990 xj with door and rocker rust but runs and drives. gonna bring it up, swap parts over, paint it, get tires and hopefully cage it. pics later
