thanks man yeah the xj was a beast but just not fun anymore. the 5 speed was annoying when crawling, there was no room in it, it wasnt comfy, always overheated, and rode like chit. the zj is the opposite i got 3 hours of sleep last night (super wasted + getting up early) so my gf drove home and i slept the whole way. not even the biggest bumps woke me up. it rode that smooth..or i guess i could have just been that tired lol

ive heard rough country binds alot, never had an issue with my IRO long arms. i dont think im gonna go long arm in my zj, they did seem to get hung up on alot of stuff but the RC long arms hang a little lower so id think they would be worse.

You still have the long arms from the xj that you would sell? and did you have any problems with your IRO Long Arms?

on the 2 door bushys, the rear flares are one piece. you could mount them and then cut them in half i guess its just not capped on the ends when the door is open

I'm out, I'm a four door, and when I do my flares it will probably be some knock off flat flare, thanks anyway

No problem I actually came to bump this thread haha.

Loved both, the OTK is very stout, took some head on hits to the tierod with rocks and never once did it complain. Only issue if any is the heims are squeaky when they get muddy but that is easily solveable with a shot of dry lube. I think the new heims actually combat this problem however and I would definitly take heims over tierod ends anyday with strength and reliability.

As for the track bar, same deal never any problems and its all beef. Put one one my ZJ too (ZJ is for sale btw). I would highly recomend both the steering and the track bar and im not just saying that because I work there now. Oh yeah, I work at iron rock now haha but all the stuff on my old xj and my zj were bought before I worked there. After working there I realize just how much actually goes into making these parts and they do not skimp on quality at all. I will continue to run their parts in my rigs and design my own.

Also in case you didnt know, free shipping right now on orders over $100 too!

Alright, now that that is settled, onto the update. I was browisng craigslist like I do every night searching for deals and came across a 96 cherokee for $600. It had hit a ditch but ran and drove besides the bent control arms and the body was straight. Went and looked at it 2 days later and the thing was clean. No rust on the body, some holes in the floors but my 99 had the same amount but everything was straight, no unibody damage, talked him down to $300 if he kept the wheels and tires on it, put $100 down, loaded up the trailer, and towed it home with my truck.

Specs: 96 cherokee SE, 4.0, AW4, 231, D30/35, 116k, manual everything. I actually drove the jeep on and off the trailer, parked it at work, then towed it home a week later and took off some bent parts to access the damage. The impact broke the battery tray, cracked the old header panel, mangled the LCA axle mount and control arm, bent the UCA, pushed the tire into the wheel well, and dude smashed his head into the windshield. The impact also set off the airbags which is a plus becuase I didnt want those anyways. Only issue now is the passengers front door hinge got bent from the tire hitting so now you have to open the back door before the front, I will eventually fix that.
