Oh yeah I will be extending it even further forward once I put my built D30 in but not sure how much, theres only like 1/2" of spline engagement in the stock shaft right now and with the steering getting close to the track bar, this might be as far as I can go with the setup. I will be getting custom shafts front and rear when all is said and done however.

Forgot about this site, my bad.
Rear is up now, 2.5" AAL and 1.5" IRO boomerang shackles. Just cut and fold for now, eventually will do more but drove her for the first time since I bought it. Felt good.

cut and fold

ride height

Flexed out

Drove it to the gas station and back, forgot to bleed the brakes so heres how I stopped lol

playing with HDR

Next up is hood pins, then modifying the fenders. I am ordering an aussie for my D30 monday, then 4.88s go in when the aussie gets here and then I can throw it under the jeep and start on the 8.8. Goal is to have it wheelable by memorial day weekend.

It shouldnt sit to much lower but I guess we will find out. I am putting a suck down winch in the front. 3,000lbs ATV winch mounted to the "frame" and through a mount on the axle then connected to the other side of the frame. Will suck it down right to the bumps. That is in due time tho I got a ton of other stuff to do first.

I've always wanted a suck down winch. How would you mount it? on the passenger side opposite of the stearing box? then to the axle pulley, and back up to a hard point near the stearing box? The rear would be super easy with all the room back there

Yeah thats how I am doing mine in the front, I wouldnt recomend a suck down winch in the back with leaf springs. Easy to warp/bend leaf springs that way. I have a pic of my suck down winch mount on the axle in the pages earlier with pics of my axle build.

Got the built 30 in, ended up ordering a lock right for it since its a trail rig

Ran into a few problems when putting the axle in. First off the knuckles are different between 96 and 98 for the brakes, second when I took my measurements for making the suck down winch mount, I didnt take into account that mine is stretched so track bar hit so have to re-make that. But shes in.

Got some done tonight, gotta swap knuckles off my 96 and the axle is so bent the passengers side shaft is stuck in the bend so I will have to cut the ball joints off
