Lol but in seriousness, finally decided tube seals need to be done, I was able to get the passengers side seal in easily with a UCA bushing tool but the drivers seal was a little trickyer. Ended up using some 7/8 threaded rod, a big washer and a 7/8 nut and had a buddy hit the rod, worked pretty good

My buddy welded the perches and truss on my 8.8 for me while I was doing the inner tube seals. Set the perches at 3 degrees for pinion angle.

It was still snowing when I finished up at 1am so I took it out and got it warmed up then hit it hard and did some drifting, swampers really suck in the snow especially in 2WD haha.

Yeah, know that feeling. Love wheeling a XJ. Would never go back to wheeling a ZJ.

Same here, ZJ was to top heavy and felt un-predictable compared to an xj.

Do it up but it makes the grill mount part of the fascia flimsy, I already cracked it accidently hitting a snow bank drifting the other night after I forgot the rig doesnt have brakes or atleast ones that work good haha. I will be integrating my bumper into it, I will draw up some ideas and post them up later.

For now, went to a swap meet today and picked this guy up

Dana 300, have to order a flip kit after I can assure it is the same spline count as my AW4 tail shaft.

i wanted to do the 300 swap so bad. it's just not really in my budget, and with me driving my xj as a DD, makes it that much harder. lol. perks of a dual purpose.

Hah yea I love having the jeep non-dd duty. Makes building it so much easier and if I dont finish a project same day, oh well. Right now I am looking for a little 5 speed gas getter DD and when I do that, selling the truck to find a nice 3/4 ton. In due time ofcourse.

Damn I love this build, I'm picking up a Cherokee in about a week and want to do a build similar to this, out of curiousity, what kind of gas mileage do you get with the 35s?

04murda thanks but shes not a DD, no clue on mileage but on my 99 w/ 35s and a 5 speed I got like 8mpg but I romped the hell out of that thing.

And I have my truck for sale right now, actually might get a cummins but dont want to jinx it because the bank is reviewing my loan application, I hope to get it! If that happens, sell the dak, pay off the truck but look for a little DD to. Diesel being 4.28 a gallon would kill me
