Took the battery in to have it load tested, and well I left with a new battery. Went ahead and did a lil trick to make sure the timing chain is good and the cps tested good aswell. I know I've got spark, thus testing it is irrelevant but did it anyway to ease my mind. So now it's just a matter of dialing in the timing on the dizzy. Think it's just a tad to late on the spark, but close enough to where it wants to try and fire now. So time to make some adjustments and get this thing running

Me too haha... I indexed it today following the guides online, and it's still just sputtering like it wants to start but won't roll over just yet. But bit by bit it's getting closer. Cps tested good, and I warrantied my battery today. So I'll have to start testing the spark and camshaft positioning sensor to make sure they are all within spec even though they are new.

Got around to reindexing the distributor to within spec. It's sputtering a bit more, but won't quite roll over. Cyl 1 is was set to TDC with the rotor positioned the 3cm from the rubber insert for the camshaft sensor. at the point I think it's the weak spark that isn't properly igniting the fuel and causing it to sputter, but not start. Gonna grab some new batteries for the good ol multimeter and get to testing and find what's causing my weak spark..

Motor might be a lil to wet with fuel, which is another reason it may not be starting. Gonna have to let the plugs dry out for a few days while I test the ignition system. Did try and crank it today however, and it ran for about a second before it cut out. So it's trying, just might be a lil rich on fuel currently.

Since I run this forum I'm not going anywhere. See my avatar pic for my feelings on the situation.
