That SR skid looks big, much bigger than my stock one. When is the install date?

Hopefully before the end of this week, if not, it'll be early next week. I'm super happy with both skids, they seem really beefy. The TC skid works with both the np231 and np242 transfer cases, so that's nice.

Yea JCR wants I think any extra $40 for a 242 belly skid.. gotta pay the extra money for that full-time.

I have some skid envy goin' on! Very nice

By the way, we're dropping off Jenna's XJ at RK Kustoms tomorrow for rock rails. Hoping he can put his own spin on something similar to JCR's & Nate's. Will keep you posted.

Oh nice! If RK ends up being cheaper than Nates, I might have to go with them. Once I get my gas tank skid and rock sliders, I'll be nicely armored underneath the Jeep!

Did you get your skid mounted yet? Looking for pics... I need some armor there by my sliders might get in the way of using that one.

Not yet, it's been a busy week. I've also acquired some Rusty's rocker panel skids, which will replace my nerf bars. Under those I'm going to have RK Fab make up some 2x4 rock guards mounted up to the unibody for more protection. What I got are more like panel protection, they're not rock sliders. So, I'm building up a collection that I'm waiting for a good day where I don't have anything else to do to get them all installed.

Why get rusty's rocker guards if you are getting sliders? For minor wheeling with little rocks those rusty guards will do fine.

I'm going to use the Rusty's rocker panel protection for a while, then get some proper rock sliders, I kinda like the look of both. I also recently got a Solid diff cover for my Dana 30 up front, and some Napier V2 flares that will work with a cut and folded rear quarter. I'm still saving up for the 33's, then I'll get all this stuff installed at the same time.

Well, early next week I will be ordering 5 33x12.5r15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's on 15x8 Quadratec Baja Xtreme wheels! Once I get them in, I'll have the Napier flares, and all my skids installed. I'll get pics once the tires come in and get installed with the flares and everything. I can't wait, it'll be a cool transformation of the green machine!

Nice XJ. I'm enjoying your build. I can't wait to see it with the new tires, wheels and flares.

Well, I did a small, but really cool upgrade to my Jeep today. I installed some hood struts sold by Tony_SS on here. They are pretty nice, but maybe Tony could include some extra hardware, just in case. Here's some pics!

Very nice. Definitely want to add the hood struts to my own XJ.
