Oh I forgot to tell you guys about my HOA at my townhouse... Gotta love the HOA folks...
My favorite mod of all.... since I built my rig in my town house garage and we have a **** HOA... the president sent me a nasty letter and told me to stop working on my cars in my garage... Um,... okay.. not. So here's what I did since he lives right behind me...

There is nothing wrong with it. I just think that it is overkill. It will probably drop down a little after all of your bumper stuff and armor. I plan on selling my RE leafs and going with full 5.5" packs with Teraflex revolver shackles eventually and going 36"s if I can find a waggy front for a decent price but other than that it will be 33's for now then 35's after the 8.8 swap.

Selling them cheap! I have 4 (brand new) literally bought them in August... 15x10 - 5 x 4.5 Cragar Soft 8's for sale now. They don't have a single scratch on them and they are in perfect condition. That reminds me that I have to order my 6 lug Soft 8's today... If anyone wants them... let me know.
How much for all 4?

Hey just curious, your doors, pin striping and Cherokee Country badges look like they are off of a 97, since the Country line was dropped in 97 in favor of the Limited.
What year is it? or are those doors from a donor truck?

Sorry I had my initial posting confused with my old TJ....
It's actually a 1997 XJ Country Edition. You're correct. Sorry about the confusion!

What's wrong with keeping it low and running 38's? The higher you go the more unstable it will be while wheeling. I think that with full width axles you could run almost a 40 at that height.

I would'nt go any higher, that's for sure. I like having the ground clearance that I have now and without the fenders totally trimmed out and modified, 36's are big as I can stuff under there at the moment. When I do my tube fenders, I might switch to 38" Pit Bulls. We'll see though.

We started the front axle disassembly last night. Tearing down the Waggy Dana 44 means cuttting off all of the perches and things you won't use, grinding everything down smooth and preparing it so you can weld new perches on it when we set it up under the Jeep.
Here is the axle as it sat when I bought it...
Rusty *** disc brakes...
I love the plasma cutter. I think it's my favorite tool in the shop...
Brad performing surgery with the torch to remove the leaf spring perches.
Sparks are cooll! No wait, I mean hot!
I get stuck with the ***** work of doing all the grinding! lol
Here is the axle ready for the gears and locker install. Just to recap, we're going with Yukon Gears in a 4.88 ratio, Ox locker (front and rear) and new brakes all the way around.

Nice, That is looking good. I want to go the D44 rout when I go to 36's but for now i'm stuck with the d30. Are you going to rotate the inner c's for better caster?
