Took the boat out last night for a cruise to Tim's Rivershore www.TimsRivershore.com and had some steamed shrimp, King crab legs and a few rum drinks. We came back at sunset... what a great day on the Potomac River!
Now I have to find some time to actually get back on the Jeep and get it ready. Wheelin season is here and our crew is itching to go.
I spent all weekend dewinterizing my boat. I didn't touch the Jeep. It was in the mid 70's here in DC all weekend so we decided to play with the boat instead of the jeep. I had to replace my starboard engine's impeller and housing and also my onboard battery charger died so I had to do that too.

I was able to make some progress on the Jeep this weekend again. One bit of good news.. It's back on four wheels again!!! Woo hoo. But not for long.
We tacked in the front truss. Corrected the angle for the upper mounts and tacked the drivers UCA mount in place on the truss. We tacked in a nice little gusset on the drivers side to attach the truss to the coil bucket for some more strength.
My limit straps and steering came in last week also from 505 Performance. I'm running Johnny Joints in all corners. I'll post pics of that soon.
I was also able to get the tube bender calibrated and dialed in with my degree marker and settings. She's ready to go now too.
Here's some updated photos...

I especially like the last picture with the miller lite can sitting there, all that fabbing is hard work, you gotta cool down with a nice beer every once in awhile, it helps you think straight too! lol
