I took a few hours tonight to finish drilling the six holes for the front bumper and getting it mounted up. I used grade 8 bolts that were 1/2"x1 1/2" with nuts and washers to secure it.
I still have to add two lower L shaped brackets to secure it to the unibody cross member and also a steering box brace.
On the inside of the Jeep I decided to put the front Ox locker shifter in and get it fitted as well as dress up the center console a bit. I took an orange Rusty's sticker and cut out the cartoon XJ on it and labeled my Ox shifters.

I don't right now but I can take some. I have to take it off again to trim it around the rear fenders anyways. It mounts with two plates against the rear unibody cross member with 8 bolts and then it also has two longer extending pieces that mount where the XJ hitch bolts are under the unibody frame rails. It's pretty beefy.

As for the money... I saved up for a while for this project. I started saving at the beginning of last summer. I sacraficed some boating trips to make this happen. With gas at $4.50 a gallon on the water and a 100 gallon tank in the boat... I couldn't just take the boat out as much as I wanted so I saved money for my Jeep project. I started buying parts as I went and then once I had them all ready to go, I started the project.
It just takes some determination and patience.

You need to beef up your mounting points on the front of that jeep, the first time you actually use it with a winch or ram it against something on the trail it will move and posibly tear up the three holes that mount it on both sides. my $.02, that is one sharp jeep keep it going

Yep, I agree with both of you guys. I am going to lengthen both of those mounts actually. After looking at it close last night, I'm just not comfortable with the 3 bolt on each side. I'm also going to incorporate a steering box brace and also the radiator support plating at the bottom to keep from shredding that too.

Alright other guy with the ox lockers. I have one in the front of mine. Will be putting one in the rear soon. That is shaping up to be one hell of a rig.

So I decided I'm going to go with a Warn Powerplant HP winch. I want On Board Air and I don't want to give up the space for my AC compressor under the hood for a Kilby System. I also don't want to run a Power Tank CO2 setup due to the fact of running out or having to refill.
I found one locally a guy is selling for $900. They retail for $1500 or so. If I can get this winch from him, it will fill the big *** hole in the front of the bumper! :-)
