Yes, they are. The owner of the axles is trying to sell them now. I really don't want to run a low pinion 9, and I don't want to pay 700 for a 44 I'll need to narrow and completely rebuild.

I WANT a Ford 44. I'll settle for a waggy 44.

I do however have a Rubicon jk44 gutted front housing laying in the shop with a bent tube. I MAY retube it, sleeve it, truss it, and build it up. Haven't decided. I don't mind running unit bearings, and I really wouldn't mind the larger jk brakes and steering knuckle

what about a pre 78 ford f150 hp44 with welded wedges? or do you want to be stock width? pre 78 hp44s are 64 or 65 wms-wms i think. not as wide as the 78-79 f250 dana 44. then you could grab a 9 inch out of the f150 too

Think I'm going to pass on building it. My only carrier option besides the factory locker( which I don't have) is a 35 spline ARB, and that plus the 35 spline shafts will run me over 2k. Then I would still need to retube it and brace it. Buy new link and coil mounts, Along with buying factory brakes, unit bearings, and knuckles.

Seems like alot of time and money for a 44 with unit bearings.
