Don't worry about the driving test. Just act calm and over exaggerate all of your movements and checks. You can even whisper or mumble them to yourself so that the instructor hears it. I missed six points because the instructor didn't notice me checking intersections, so be careful with that.

Now go pass so you can legally drive wherever the hell you want!

When i turned 16 they gave me 50 bucks and made me go to my grandparents house where i always get asthma for days. Gotta love em...
Yea! Well those lazy parents fed you for the last 16 years. When I turned 16 I got a box of rocks with a dead fish in it, AND I ENJOYED IT. I bought my fist car (a lime green pinto) with money I earned working in the coal mines packing 500 pound blocks of coal taped to my face 26000 feet up a rope, BOTH WAYS and I loved it, end rant.

well after that i drove it to my friends house down the street and afteralot of thinking, i ended up gutting the whole interior and dried everything out and powerwashed the carpets, threw everything in the back and headed home.

well........ on my way home i was going around a curve and about 6 does run right out in front of me. From previous experiences, i know not to swerve and to just hit them... but since it was a curved road it was a little tricky. i ended up locking up my brakes because of all the mud i had gunked up everywhere, and slid into a ditch going about 20mph. at first i was happy nothing worse happened and just tried to throttle on out.... not happening. i got out and looked... and this is what i see...

well finally got it home, got some sleep. and woke up and got to work. cleaned everything, sanded the floors down and herculined everything. ended up not being able to take any pictures of that... all i can say is next time i use bedliner i will be wearing gloves. that shi* is a b**** to get off your hands, i still have it in my finger nails haha. anyways, after that i went to lowes and got some water resistant carpet insulation, and re insulated the carpets and got them back in on top of the bedliner, then got the seats and everything back in.

it sucked having to do all of it, but im extremely happy with the results. it took a few days, but man what a difference. A lot less road noise in the cab, and the carpets smell great and are padded now.

then finally got it all cleaned up and took it in to get it re aligned, and got my tie rod bent back in shape.

I was so happy everything was back and good! until i got hit with the bad news... as i was getting it aligned i was talking to a guy who works at the shop about offroading... building treehouses..... how he has an old prelude that he jumps 20ft in the air on weekends.... just normal talk you know lol. So i told him my story about flooding my jeep out a few days ago and he asked me if i had checked my coolant, oil, or air box since. I told him it was the first thing i did after i got stuck. but he insisted that we check everything over again, because when he drove it in it was overheating a little bit. so we did. Everything looked great... until we got to the coolant. at first it just looked a little muddy... but after a few test it turns out that ''mud'' was oil. So, you guessed right again... blown headgasket. Good news is... i got my alignment and diagnosis all for free! but the jeeps going to be parked for a while now until i get money to fix it... shop quoted me 1600$..... so i will be doing it myself! Sucks all this happened over the course of a week... which was spring break. but lessons were learned. and knowledge was gained.

Glad to see you got a job. What exactly do you do?
And are you just replacing the head gasket? Shouldnt be much for a gasket kit of some felpro's. Just hope that theres not any further damage done.

heck yeah man. I unload trucks filled with plants and trees at a local nursery on weekends, and me and my buddy started up our own lawncare business and we work during the week.

yeah just the headgasket, but you have to buy the gasket... oil.. coolant... get the block re surfaced, and a bunch of other stuff. So it shouldnt be to expensive, but i dont want to tear my engine apart and find out something worse is wrong and not have money to fix it and have a non running jeep sitting in my driveway. because as of now... it runs fine besides overheating and eating coolant. Everyone has told me not to drive it, but ill probably have it fixed here in a few weeks

Just buy a air tool with a cookie attachment and resurface it your self, just plug the cylinders up tho. And that's cool about the job, I dont have one till summer, my boss moved to Tampa. But I'm buying a new jeep this summer!

Sucks to hear about all the misfortune, but on the bight side, you have a job to help pay for it all, and stories like that will stay with you for the rest of your life, and will be fun to look back on and laugh at.
