So i had to take a day or 2 off to build up another d30 to sell, so i trussed it from UCA to UCA with welds on the casting, filled in the pass UCA, gusseted all of the inner knuckles & made skids for the LCA brackets...

Alls thats left is to paint it in Chassis Saver & put it up for sale!!

Ok so its been some time now since i had a free day to work on the jeep. With my sons BJJ classes & myself back in training, things have been buisy, but i made a break for it as i sold the tires that came with the new XJ & was able to get a day of work in.
Most the day was prep work as i painted my 30 & the 30 im gonna sell in chassis saver & got in one of my rock rails as well before i ran out of day light.
First thing i did was weld an end cap on my truss that was bothering me & got some good penetration into the cast but got a tiny bit of spatter since the nozzle didnt go all the wat down on the backside...

A few hours with the wire wheel & one set of very soor hands, i finally got them painted in chassis saver of which they will NEVER see rust again!!

The D30 im selling...

And my D30...

Might not be much of an update, but i finished the work to the HP-D30 i now have for sale: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f11/hp...d-sale-137087/ & its an end to the side work i was doing & now i can get back to working on my own jeep. Altho if the sale goes good, i may start doing some more side work to fund my jeep'ing habbit!! LOL!!

Funny u should ask; or more like perfect timing! After some time constraints, money woes, & dealing with my sleep disorder, i finally restarted my build maybe 2 weeks ago & have so far swapped in the front axle, bolted in the panhard bar, swapped in the PSC steering gearbox, trimmed back all 4 fenders, overhauled the rear brakes, & should have the steering buttoned up this week.
I had to change-up my strategy a bit & do the things that will get her back on the road quicker so all the bracing & plating will have to wait unless i find some extra time!
Will post up pics soon, TKS!

Swapped in my beefed up 231 t-case & SYE, so if anyone needs a perfectly good 242 then just let me know.
Next im gonna take parts like my tomwoods shafts, rock rails, skid plates, roof rack, & steel bumpers & get em all prepped & painted in Chassis Saver & say goodbyeto rust FOREVER!! With the body in such good condition i want this puppy lookin sharp & Chassis Saver is the real deal when it comes to kissin rusts *** goodbye!! LoL!!
((havin issues downloading my pics onto my computer so ill get em up soon hopefully))

Just had a weeks delay as my POS car broke & needed some tlc. After finally gettin it back today i was able to get all of the steering completed, lines, links, fluid & tested it out.
I keep forgetting to take pics probably cause alot of this is being done at night due to my scheduling so its not on my mind. Plus im kinda rushing to get it on the road cause my POS car still has things wrong with it & its not worth the $$ in repairs!!

Needed new rear brakes & the hard-line going across the axle. Saved a few bucks by wire wheeling the rotors since they had no scarring on them. Hard-line not done yet:

Ok so now to back-track a bit here, even tho the winch bumper has 6 bolts on each side, i decided to put in a few key welds on it cause lets face it, its just stronger that way!! I took some bolts out in the pics so i can go match em up & get all grade 8 hardware, then i welded it in a few other places that i didnt take pics of, but believe me, this puppy aint comin off period!!
The first pick is with no welds & the other 2 are after its welded to the unibody...
