Dude, page 3 and this is already epic. Awesome work on the interior, finally someone who's surpassed my interior LEDs! Love how you did them, that must be stupid bright! Did you use LED strips, or fixtures, or what did you use for those? How about wiring and switching?

Looks like you've got a talent for machine work, not to mention a whole shop! That axle looks fantastic. I think it's funny you say you're not interested in wheeling or anything like that but you're doing all this extreme work to your Jeep! Love it

Thanks man. The interior is a combination of standard LED replacement bulbs, strips, and some RGB modules in the rear for area lighting.

The dash lights and such were a pain, as I just bought some little T5 wedge bulbs, and had to take all of the incandescent bulbs and holders apart, insert the LED bulbs, then lots of tweaking, in and out with the cluster to get the polarity right, and fixing bad connections. I will probably pull it out again, and solder them all in the holders, as I have a couple which still have poor contact.

Well, like I said, I need a rig to get me where I want and need to go. But, just going out and slogging through mud or bashing through rocks just to do it, doesn't do anything for me.

I hear ya. I like wheeling but not going to go crazy like some of my friends. I'd love to see some pics of the LEDs turned off, if you could. The cluster is a pain with the little T5 wedgies, I had to bend the socket connections inward so that they have more contact on the LEDs. I haven't had an issue since but wonder when one is going to pop loose one of these days.

Yeah, pretty much the same prob with my t5's. Just getting the old ones out was a pain, breaking all the little wires off so I could pull the bulbs.

I will try to get some more shots soon. You said with the LED's OFF? If so, what do you want a picture of?

Ahhh, gotcha. I will try to get a shot. The ones around the edge are a waterproof 3528 LED strip, I got them from Amazon for about $8 for a 17ft roll.



But, honestly, those were the easiest to put up of just about any of my lights. I did mess around for a while trying to figure out a way to mount them so they projected where I wanted, and wouldn't be in the way.

I was originally going to run it along the trim which holds up the headliner, but then worried I would have to tear it out if I need to drop the trip at some point, plus there really wasn't enough room. Then I realized the solution was staring me in the face

They are adhesive backed, so I just stuck them right on the headliner, just above the trim. It gives it just about the right angle to project well, and is totally out of the way.

Nice! I love the strips. So cheap and easy to work with. So is the adhesive sticking to the headliner pretty well? I could see it un-sticking after awhile. I did a combo of green and white in my car to give it the light-green color of the dash and instrument panel.
