Went out to the lakehouse this weekend and ended up finding a big hole....

Glad my dad had his truck and about 40 feet of tow straps

Here is the hole....

Had to do some driveway wrenching to fix the brakes that had all sorts of crap in them from the mud/sand/rocks/etc.

Help me spend my money!

So my Jeep is getting some money thrown it's way over the next few weeks but I am torn in which direction to go. I have *****ed about the front suspension in the past and that is one of my top priorities, but so is getting a rear locker before winter and here is my chance since I have the extra money. I listed a three options in which way to spend my money, so help me out

Option 1:
-go all out on the front suspension and order the Iron Rock Offroad Long Arm suspension upgrade kit which would run me $599.99 since they have free shipping right now.

http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch..._Code=IR-X_LAK

Option 2:

-fix the front suspension with adjustable upper/lower short arm control arms and buy an Aussie locker. This choice would be roughly the same amount of cash, coming in around $640.00

Option 3:
-say screw the front suspension and deal with the creeks and random noises and get a front and rear locker. Which would run around $570.00

Option 4: Buy the adjustable upper and lower control arms and both front and rear Aussie lockers

(all tempting options listed but i would if you are serious about wheeling lock the front and get the adj. control arms)

Not a bad idea, the front locker is only a matter of time but right now I just don't have the extra cash.

yeah start with front first to pull you up over obstacles and out of stuff since you go front first and enhance your suspension for all time use with the adj. arms unless you want to go nasty with long arms

If you're planning on going long arms eventually, don't get the adjustable control arms, just wait and get the long arms. Either option 1 or 3.

Yeah that is the problem, I will always kick myself if I buy short arms when I will continue to want long arms. Starting to really lean towards the LA upgrade, then trying to throw a locker in the rear before winter.

SteelBlue99 - I see that you have the IRO LA kit, how do you like it? How was the installation...specifically the cross member?

I love the IRO LA kit so far. Ride is amazing. Haven't had a chance to flex it out yet though. Installation was somewhat difficult, but that's mainly because i did it by myself. With more then one person, it would've been pretty easy. Cross member install was pretty easy. Drilling and tapping was the most difficult part, and even that wasn't too bad.

Good to hear, I will definitely have an extra set of hands helping me out. Were the instructions pretty good for the crossmember installation where to drill/tap?

Where to drill and tap was pretty simple. You basically assemble the cross member, then line it up with the factory cross member bolts. You use those two holes, and drill/ tap where the third hole in the IRO LA cross member is. However, the instructions to assemble the cross member itself were somewhat confusing. I found a picture of an assembled one online, which really helped me out.
