So I haven't posted in this thing in a long time (December of 2013 it looks like, damn). A lot has happened. Here's the rundown:

Got some 33's

Put JK rear upper control arms on as my front lower control arms (ended up being WAY too long)

Went to Harlan, KY for the NAXJA Cherokee Crawl over the 4th of July (EXCELLENT event by the way, definitely on my list every year for as long as I can see. Go if you ever get the chance, totally worth it)

XJ blew up (#5 piston came apart and punched a hole in the block)

Got a ZJ on the cheap to DD

Got a parts ZJ and pulled the motor to use in the XJ

Took the ZJ to Harlan (didn't wheel it, just rode with people)

Rebuilt the ZJ motor and put it in the XJ

Started driving the XJ again this past weekend finally

So now that the XJ is back together, I'm going to start another build thread. This time, I'm going to do everything right, and go back to fix a lot of things that I kinda half-assed before. Since I've had a couple of actual engineering classes, I now see where I screwed a lot of stuff up, and I know better how to do it right. This Jeep will be my DD probably until I get out of college, so I'm going to do it better. After college, I have some diabolical plans for this thing, and it's going to be awesome. For now though, it stays a streetable DD. I'll post a link to the new thread once I start it

Holy **** after all this time shes back alive! I'm glad its back under its own power man. It's been way too long since we've wheeled together. We need to get the whole group back together as soon as URE opens.

I fully agree with all of the points made in this post.

Yes sir! There's no describing the feeling I felt when I fired up the motor for the first time. It's strong too. Still slow like Jeeps are, but it's a good bit stronger than I expected. If I get some issues straightened out in time, I'll be taking it to the open ride at the Devil's Playground on Feb. 6th, but I'm not sure if that'll happen. I have a fair amount of things to do before I'll wheel it, and I'm not gonna wheel it like I did before. No rev limiter bouncing up the back of Daniel hahaha

Me too sir!!!

It's been WAY too long since I've been on a good wheeling trip! The last one I went to was the Crawl in July!!
