Project Banjo: 2001 XJ
No idea haha. Since the motor came from a 1999, the odometer was digital, and there was no battery in the donor Jeep. Looking back I should've grabbed the instrument cluster, but that's before I thought about the mileage being stored in the cluster instead of the computer

Well I keep finding myself reminded of how great of a dad I have. For a few weeks, I've had an RC adjustable track bar and a V8 ZJ steering upgrade in the back of my Jeep in dire need of going on, I've just had zero time to do it. I got home from work on Friday and my dad says "What needs to be done to your Jeep" I told him the parts I had and he replied with "Go on to bed and I'll put this stuff on for you tonight". Of course I didn't argue. The next day he says "Your axle u joints look shot, drive my car to work and I'll get some and replace them for you today". Once again, didn't argue. So now my Jeep is a totally different animal on the street and much safer than it was before. I'll try to get pics of the worn out junk posted tomorrow.

Same here with my dad and I. Except he's not a huge fan of the Jeep thing... Mainly because he's helped me keep her on the road lol. But he too is an awesome dad.

Thanks!! She's coming slowly but surely, I like pictures, they're cool haha
I took my Jeep to my buddy's place, where we modded the hinges to lift out like a Wrangler/older XJ instead of the quick pins like most people use. The doors now close just like they did from the factory (they sagged when I bought the Jeep). Here are some pics!

I also picked up a set of 235/75/15's with about half tread from a buddy of mine who just put 33's on his ZJ. I know it's a step down in size, but it's a step safer from how bald my 31's are.

Well this week was a little bit nuts, on Tuesday I took the 235's and traded them for a set of 31" Firestone Destination AT's with about the same tread. Then my rear brakes started to make an awful grinding noise. Upon further inspection I found that the e brake cable had snapped on the passenger's side, and one of the brackets for the e brake had made its way in between the drum and the shoes, which ruined the drum. On Thursday I went to Pull-A-Part and got some used, but exceptionally smooth drums, then Friday morning got new hardware kits, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes, then went to my buddy's place to swap everything out. Only got the passenger's side done before I had to get to work. So the other side will have to be done when I get a little time. On Saturday morning I had the tires I had traded for mounted and balanced before work. I went outside to make a delivery at work to find my newly mounted right rear tire flat with a part of some sort of blade sticking out of it. I put on the spare, then plugged the tire this morning, seems to be ok, hopefully I can get it all straightened out before I go to Uwharrie in October.
Well not much has happened to the actual build lately, but there are some interesting stories and damage that have happened. I have made 3 URE trips since I was last on here. The first one left me with a nice little rocker dent on the passenger side, and a nice deep scrape on the passenger rear door. The trip after that, carnage included a scrape on the other rear door, a couple more rocker dents, both driver control arms bent, beat to hell exhaust, a couple dings on the unibody rails, and I'm pretty sure my driveshaft is dented as well since I kinda used it as a rock slider at one point on the trip
The last trip did nothing but slightly smash the left side of my stock rear bumper, big whoop, especially considering that the last trip was when I tackled the hardest trail in the forest.
Anyway, here's some pics for you to enjoy

Yeah, I'm a mudslut, judge me lol

We also had a mud pit in the middle of our campsite, so my buddy in his LJ decided he should go through it because his Jeep wasn't dirty enough. This costed him the bead on his left rear tire, plus some jokes
