You can find neos on ebay for like 200...or search the evo, honda forums! Those guys go through them like crazy and you can usually get a used one for like 150..maybe cheaper.

Nice bud! Glad your making process!
I got my jeep running today..ecu was fried so I swapped in a 90 ecu...Also fixed my cps since it was but connected together lol..now its normal..also set it up to advance the timing 6*..
Got it and drove it just now..and man on man it feels 100X faster & more responsive..idk which made the most imporvement..probably the timing but everyone always claims the 90 Renix ecu is best/hottest tune or whatever.!

Alright just thought ofthis!
Is you ax-15 internal or external salve? If its internal its probably the slave ratteling..mine does the same exact thing!
I'm going to a external setup when I finish my build!

Guess what though? I'm joining ya bud in the turbo world!
I need exhaust videos of that open dump though lol.

Also what octane gas are you using? Have you tryed it on regular yet? If so what were the results?
Ran it on premium? If so what were the results?

also what size is that turbo.. .63a/r? I saw that dude on pirate went for a .48a/r..Thinking I may meet in the middle with a .57a/r. I kinda like racing my jeep around as is and I don't want to see any PT boost. Are you seeing boost at part throttle (PT)..when are you spooling?
Need alot of info, I'm currently ordering parts..gonna boost my current motor, then rebuild it lol! May be up and running within a few weeks hopefully!

YES
mines a .63 exhuast .50 compressor t3/to4e
ran it on regular gas at first, then started running premium, didnt notice anything yet. installed 30lb bosch injectors and a 2 bar map and it runs pretty good right now. idk if i would trust an ebay feed line either! mine burst a hole in a random spot on the line!
spooling wise, in 4th gear i get about 8psi at 2 or 3k rpms, but if i want i can drive around in vacuum all day(i do most of the time). i think the downpipe size has an effect on it. but also the guy on pirate is spooling at like 1k or 2k rpms, but is also on 35's or 40's i think, which is a LOT more load than my 31's, so it should spool faster.
you already know anything i could tell you tuning wise!
but i added it up and im in it about $1000 after everything ive bought! i thought it was going to be like $400!
YES i have an internal slave! that must be it!

Alright say just normal driving..not trying to spool but also not making it not..just being normal for get boost is there lol..
Do you get PTB? I'm asking caused PTB= part throttle boost, and it could lean the motor out in closed loop..we can't tune closed loop without a full on standalone engine management... So I want to aviod PTB as much as possible!

you say .50 compressor..dude on pirates running .60! Hmm...dam dam dam what do I want to do lol..I was think .60 cold side & .48 hot side,s ame as the pirate dude. But then again your running a .50 cold side which would spool sooner..you put a smaller hot side on there and it would be insane..so now onto look at compressor maps..
.50 coldside, .63 hotside vs a .60 coldside .48 hotside.

You say no difference when switching from 87-91/93...Hmm I bet if I could aviod PTB I could run 87 just fine..then spray meth when the boost starts. That way its still be a cheap jeep but still make the power I want it to!
The motor is 0 decked, ported head, stock cam, stock bottom end with a 15-16CC dish piston..Puts me just higher..not even enough to matter than stock compression ratio, but I now have a .048 quench vs the stock .8xx..so it wouldn't really matter..
I'm kicking around the idea of .60 overing it sill..I probably will since it'll unshroud the valves & give me more time to play with comp ratios and such..boost my stock while I build the other.

I wanna get .5-.8 higher than stock comp..not alot but when you add boost in it'll matter!

nope no PTB at all, for me to get boost i got be putting some load on it, like at the bottom end of the gear. dont know too much about comp ratio's so can't help you there! but i got 220k on the clock and its turboed, a fresh built motor with high comp pistons would be nuts, probably could run upwards of 15psi

haha I don't think that much..then again I don't really know the limits of the stock rods? I don't think anyone does?
As far as comp, I was stating I'll just run it a little higher so I can spool quicker & make more power..higher comp will make more power per psi vs lower comp obviously. I was stating that since my quench will be done to .048 I won't see any negatives. A tighter quench will help fight off detenation & such, so you can get away will the extra little bump in Compression ratio..its a win win lol.
And thats good new cause PTB sucks ***** on piggybacks..can't tune closed loop so if your boosting in closed loop & normal air fuel ratios are like high 13's or low 14's in cloosed loop..not good for a turbo setup lol so you gotta be careful with that..
Dam I just can't decide on the turbo we need videos lol!

I wanna dyno my tired *** 4.0..its well over 300k on it but runs like a champ. Bill of sale is 6years olds..says 234K in 2004, odometer now reads 242k and doesn't work lol...its well over 300k by now lol!..
my 88 with 307s and 31's, 60mm throttle body & 703's and exhaust out runs my buddys 96 with a 99 intake, 62mm throttle body, & a header/straight piped exhaust. Hes a 5speed as well..3.55 swap and 33x10.5's's. And hes a 2wd swapped with a nv3550..and gutted interior, only seats and a dash board.. So I'm deffinetly heavier, but I can still pull away
I know shes a trooper even with her mileage. I wanna dyno it for a baseline then redyno when its actually boosted..see what gains truely are!
